DYLAN came back with police officers behind him. My lips parted in shock after he welcomed the officers and politely offered them a coffee, which they refused. He then darted his eyes to my direction and smiled, “Hello, my dear wife.”
He went to me and gently kissed my cheeks. He faced the officers, “You see, officers. There's no way that I'd hurt this beautiful lady beside me after I chased her for years just to gain her trust. That complainant you're talking about must be crazy,”
I couldn't speak. Now, I understand what's happening. The two police officers are here to look after us after someone reported that Dylan is hurting me. They probably did not find any concrete evidences against Dylan to file a case, so they're here, watching his move.

Samantha's POV:I CARESSED my stomach as it grumbles. I want to eat a peanut. Damn! I'm salivating! I went downstairs with my messy hair, and I'm certain it looks like a bird's nest. While caressing my stomach, I went to the kitchen and found Jacob sipping a coffee. He was on his phone and because I was so silent and my steps barely make noises, he wasn't aware that I was behind him.“Yes! Do everything, please! I need the informations asap.
