Chapter Fifty-Seven

Ricky’s POV

“Have you talked to her before she came down for breakfast today, Ricky?” Jules asked me. “I can’t place my finger on it but she seems very different and lighter than before.”

“I haven’t,” I admitted. “But, I share in your observation as well. She doesn’t care much about anything either as it stands, it’s worrying to say at the very least.”

“When was the last time you spoke to her, Ricky?” Jules asked me again.

“Two nights ago, after Dad left and you left afterward after Cole did,” I answered. “It was just the two of us left before we both retired to bed.”

“What did you both talk about?” Jules was rather impatient today and if it weren’t for the situation we were in, I would’ve found it extremely funny.

I debated on whether I should let them in on Shannon’s escapades but I decided against it, they didn’t know the details of what happened between Shannon and me in the woods.
