A silver light cut through the curtains, warming the edge of the bed. The serenity of quiet was gone with sounds of the city's traffic blaring in her ears. Ava groaned softly and rolled over on the bed. With her face pressed down against the pillow, an unfamiliar scent hit her nostrils and she blinked as she started to open her eyes. This didn't smell like her bed or looked in the slightest like her room. Her head throbbed, a bugging reminder of the beer she had gobbled down the previous night.She sat up in bed and held her head in her arms, groaning again softly.
