Ruby Jasper wore me out in the bathroom that I was too tired to prepare for Kevin and Randolph's arrival. I managed to fix up two rooms for the couples and make them comfortable enough. I learned Randolph and Racheal were coming with the twins, and I was excited. I fixed up a room for Susan and Isabelle. I told Racheal to make sure she came with their toys because my home was not child equipped yet. Seeing I was tired, Jasper offered to make dinner, but I could not let him do the heavy lifting, so we grilled some lamb shoulder and made creamy mashed potatoes and gravy along with sauteed vegetables that we had in our mini garden on the farmland. It wasn't long after we finished cooking our guest arrived. I had gained some weight, so I knew I would not be able to hide my pregnancy from them. Jasper and I went out of the house to welcome them. Racheal was the first to run to me. She hugged me so tightly I thought I was going to choke. "I missed you, Rub. I missed you so much," she sai
Jasper Ruby and I went to bed, surprised at what we heard Racheal had been going through. I was glad we left the place. I would have killed someone if we lingered. I could understand Randolph's anger when his father did not allow him to finish off the bastard that tried to kill his mate and children. The people in that place were savages. All the hate because they believed their future was bleak because Racheal's genes would not be a good combination with Randolph's, making the future alphas weak. That is very wrong. Wolves were only as good as they trained them, something my father's pack understood well and made sure all the wolves in that pack were trained. Yes, physically, Racheal's children might not be as strong as Ruby's children, but strength is not the only thing needed to be an influential person. Skill and wisdom are important too. The breeding laws were not good. It was why there were extremely strong and extremely weak wolves, no in-betweens. In my father's pack, s
Ruby. The ladies and I went to Westwood Inn to visit Gina. She was planning my wedding after all, so we were going there to decide on the cake flavour, dress and other things. We were also going there to relax and get away from our men. I have never been happier than I am right now. Jasper had come through all the way. I loved him so much, and seeing everything going on, I knew I had it good. It would have been worse, but Jasper made it good, and I was forever grateful to him for it. I introduced the girls to Gina, and she was amazed by how pretty my friends were. "You three seem to have superior beauty genes," she said in her country accent, and we laughed at her praise. Gina and her husband Tom did not know of the supernatural world, but they were amazing humans. To them, we were humans, and I had warned Racheal and Cindy to keep it that way. They were to refer to their mates as husbands and never make any reference to packs or territories; towns and counties were more like it.
Jasper Randolph, Kevin and I returned home in the evening and found the house lit romantically. Our mates were in sexy short satin house robes. Ruby looked hot in red. She knew what that colour did to me. We did not expect to meet them at home because we expected them to spend most of the time at the inn doing what women do when they are together. But here they were, ready and waiting. The twins had been tucked in, and I knew they had prepared for a wild night. We had our work cut out for us. Luckily, I had made us shower at the outhouse I created for the workshop workers to freshen up before going home. Looking at Ruby in the hot robe she was wearing, I was glad we showered before coming. Ruby came to kiss me, and I took in her sweet scent. Leon wanted to ravage her, but I had to control myself. I doubted Ruby would want me to take her in front of everyone. From the way they moved. They had planned it, and the fact that they were acting oblivious about what they were doing as if it
Ruby It was two days before the wedding. The dress Gina made fitted perfectly well, and so did the ones she made for Racheal and Cindy. The burgundy gowns were breathtaking. I did not get an entirely white dress. I got a white that faded to peach with a moderate train. Most of the dress was net and lace. It covered but gave the illusion of exposure. It was a lovely dress, and I thanked Gina for it. I did not pick it. Gina was the one that decided to surprise me with a dress when I was finding it challenging to select from the bridal magazines she gave me. It was difficult making a decision just by going on the pictures. The only bridal shop close by was in the next county, and we were not welcomed there. That was the county Jasper wanted us to settle in. It was more beautiful and more developed than Livingston County, but the hunters there did not want us to live there, and I doubted if the people there were as kind as those in Livingston. One thing I admired the people of Livingston
Ruby I felt someone pull the covers from my body. It was difficult to open my eyes, but I finally did. It was Racheal, and she was saying something. I was yet to make out her words. I slept immediately after I returned to bed in the early hours, but I was exhausted even then. "You reek of Jasper, Rub. We have a wedding to get to," she said, and I remembered that today was the day. I managed to get off the bed and hurried to the shower. While I stood under the warm shower, I thought of my night with Jasper, and I could not help but smile. I knew I was blushing. I felt it. Jasper made me feel like a schoolgirl over again. Who would have thought That I would feel this way about him? I was blessed to have him. I remembered how he looked in the barn that was now his workshop. He was so hot and sexy, and the night kept playing in my head. I could not wait to have this wedding over with. I exited the shower and returned to the room. "Where are Isabelle and Susan?" I asked Racheal, and
Ruby A week after the wedding. Jasper and I had just woken up when we heard Racheal and Randolph arguing. The twins were crying, and Racheal was going at it. I got up to wear my house robe, and Jasper wore his shorts and t-shirt to follow. I had never heard them fight before, this was the first time, and their argument seemed heated. I got to the door of their room and knocked. The moment I knocked on the door, they went quiet, but the twins were crying. They were supposed to head back to Lakewood that day. I wondered why they were arguing. Racheal opened the door, and I saw her puffy eyes. She had been crying. "What is the matter, Ray?" I asked her, and she sobbed and hugged me. I looked at Randolph. His eyes were crimson, and his hands were shaking. He seemed hurt too. Jasper walked in and went to him. "What happened?" Jasper asked Randolph, and Randolph looked at Racheal, who was still sobbing over my shoulder. I pulled her away and tried to maintain eye contact to ask her wha
Jasper After breakfast, I went to the barn to sort things out. Kevin and Cindy were not home during the argument, so they did not know what had happened. They returned when it was time for breakfast. I did not bother to ask them where they went to because it was none of my business and no one told them about the argument between Racheal and Randolph. It was sad to see the two lovers fight. They loved each other so much, but Lakewood was trying to keep them apart. I had to commend Ruby for keeping it in. I knew if I had decided to stay, she would have supported my decision. Racheal had no faith in Randolph's ability to keep them safe, and that was bad for an Alpha. If his mate did not have faith in him, it meant he was not fit to lead. What Racheal did was impulsive and wrong. At that point, I realised she had a lot to learn about being luna; if not, she would end up proving everyone right. Ruby wouldn't have done that. Worse things had happened, and she never doubted my ability to k
