I walked into the pack house. My parents were there waiting for me in the living area.

“Not now. Let me take a shower,” I said, not glancing at them as I walked straight to the stairs.

I was still upset about the meeting with both Styles’. After my shower, I headed downstairs and sat on the couch. They both looked at me with concern. “So are we going to do this here or in the study room?” I said blankly.

They didn’t move. "Fine," so instead I got comfortable.

“Christian…” Mom began, “Son, I’m sorry that I…we never said anything. I didn’t know you felt that way about Natalie until three days ago.”

I stared at her stoically with my elbow resting on the arm of the couch. My hand partially covered my mouth as if I was in deep thought.
