When Mina reached her room, she quietly rearranged her clothes back into her small bag. Her heart still fluttered from everything that had happened. She wanted to look her best before returning to Theo’s chamber, so she picked up her towel and decided to use the locally made public bathroom that the omega maids used.

Theo had wanted her to bathe in his room and spend the rest of the night with him, but Mina had insisted she would feel more comfortable taking her bath elsewhere first before coming back. He had smiled and agreed.

The night air was cool as she walked to the bathroom, humming softly to herself. Every step felt lighter, her heart filled with joy and disbelief. She kept thinking about their conversation—how gentle Theo had been, how he had reassured her, and how the Moon Goddess must have truly blessed her. For the first time in a long while, Mina felt happy, safe, and loved.

She didn’t know that danger was already waiting for her.

Back in her room, Samantha had arrived and

And the command was obeyed. The crowd gasped, screamed, and wept—but Damian didn’t flinch. Not even once. When it was finally over, what remained of Samantha was hoisted and hung upon the old oak tree at the edge of the arena—a warning to all who dared betray their kind.Damian turned, his silver eyes scanning the terrified faces before him.“Let this night be a lesson,” he said slowly. “No secret stays hidden forever beneath the moon.”The crowd bowed their heads in fear and respect as he turned and walked away. Theo tried to follow, hoping Damian would meet Mina before leaving, but Damian stopped at the door, turning back to look at him one last time.It was a long, hard stare—one that carried a thousand unspoken words. Pain. Blame. And something else Theo couldn’t quite read. Then Damian turned and walked away into the night, his cloak billowing behind him like a shadow swallowed by the moonlight. When the heavy gates finally closed behind Damian and his guards, silence descended u

Theo bowed deeply. “At once, Alpha.”He turned and hurried out, followed closely by Matt and Jihoo. Damian remained where he was, standing at the center of the hall with a faint, unnerving smile curling at the edge of his lips. The elders exchanged wary glances. That smile… it wasn’t amusement. It was the kind of quiet, seething calm that came before destruction.Meanwhile, in the waiting room, Samantha sat slumped in chains, her body covered in blood and bruises. The female warriors stood guard around her, their expressions hard. When the door opened, her eyes lifted weakly—and her pale lips curved into a faint, delusional smile.“Theo… you came to see me,” she rasped, coughing. “See? I told you he would come.”Miko clenched his jaw, fury flashing in his eyes. “Silence, you murderer!” he spat, raising the silver whip again. But Theo’s voice stopped him cold. “No need, Miko.”Miko froze. “Alpha?”Theo stepped closer, his expression dark but strangely calm. “No need to dirty your hands

The hug was strong, desperate—like a man trying to hold onto the last bit of hope he had left. Mina rested her head against his chest, feeling his heart pound against her ear.“I’ve failed so many times,” Theo murmured, voice rough with suppressed emotion. “I couldn’t protect Rina… I couldn’t save her child… and now—”Mina tightened her arms around him. “You haven’t failed. You’re fixing what was broken. That’s what true strength is.”Her words melted something inside him. Slowly, he breathed in her scent—the warm, soothing essence that only his mate could carry—and the storm within him began to quiet. For the first time since the night began, he closed his eyes and allowed himself to rest against her comfort. Then— Knock! Knock! The sharp sound of knuckles on wood cut through the tender silence.Theo stiffened slightly but didn’t release her immediately. Instead, he took a slow breath before saying, “Come in.”The door opened—and standing there was Jihoo, his expression tight with ur

Another nodded quickly. “Yes! We must find them all. And the security around the estate must be doubled immediately to avoid any chance of rescue or escape.”Theo’s jaw tightened. “Already done,” he replied firmly. “Every border guard has been alerted. No one enters or leaves the territory without my direct order.”The murmurs of anger softened into grim approval. An elder named Jun, one of the oldest council members, stood slowly. His white beard trembled as he spoke. “It grieves my heart to hear this. But we thank the Moon Goddess for revealing the truth through you, Alpha. May justice be served, and may the Luna’s soul finally rest.”A low murmur of agreement rippled across the hall.Theo nodded once, then raised his hand again to silence them. “There is one more thing,” he said quietly. “Before tonight, I discovered something else that must be made known to the council.”The room fell silent.“My mate has been revealed to me.”Gasps filled the air again, but this time with awe and

Jihoo’s eyes widened slightly, but he didn’t question it. “Understood, Alpha.” He turned and left with determined steps, already barking orders to the guards outside.Theo exhaled heavily and ran a hand through his hair. The revelation was still echoing in his mind—Samantha’s confession, her madness, her lies that had tainted so much of the past.He called out next, “Miko.” The guard entered swiftly and bowed.Theo’s tone darkened, cold and commanding. “Take the fiercest of our female warriors and begin the interrogation. Use whatever means necessary. Make her speak, Miko. I want every secret she’s been hiding brought to light.”“Yes, Alpha,” Miko replied grimly before departing. It didn’t take long for word to spread. Within the hour, the entire Alpha’s estate was buzzing with whispers and gasps.“Lady Samantha… she killed Luna Rina?” one maid whispered, clutching her apron to her chest.“They said she sold the Luna’s child to strangers—maybe even within the pack!” another replied in

Light and air slammed into the cramped room, and a figure loomed in the frame—tall, furious, made of quiet, lethal calm.“Theo.”He didn’t need to shout; his voice was the kind that made the walls themselves lean in to listen. The gold in his eyes was flaring now—anger coiled so tight it sounded like thunder in Mina’s ears.Samantha whirled, surprise and fury colliding on her face. The glint in her hand was useless against the presence that filled the doorway. Theo moved forward in two long strides, Miko at his shoulder and two other guards following close behind.“Release her,” Theo ordered, voice low and cold.Miko’s hand was already on Samantha’s wrist, gripping the instrument and wrenching it away. The guards closed in, and in a breath Samantha found herself disarmed and caught between solid bodies. She spat, wild and unbowed.“You have no right—” she started.Theo stepped into the room and stopped before Mina, his expression torn when he saw the maid on the floor, tears streaking
