Chapter 16: Alphas Also Have Emotions

“Excuse me?!” The words tumbled out of me even before I could blink. “How do you think I eat? Using my feet?!”

The Alpha choke on his coffee, spluttering some on the table and on his white three-fourth long sleeve. His hair was neatly combed to the side; his beard was shaved, though a few can still be seen. His sun-kissed skin was slightly pale with the clear glass roof above us.

“You never fail to make me laugh,” his voice was stern and cold. One may think he’s not joking, that he’s sentencing me to death.

Thankfully for me, I just jerked a chin to him, to his no-longer-white sleeves. “Next time, I’ll make sure it’s not just coffee.”

His lips curved inward, his eyes darkening. He clicked his tongue and said, “I did tell you that you have laundry duties today.”

Before I could huff a reply, he unbuttoned the dirty white apparel and tore it away from his body. And then he shoved it right to my face, to my gaping mouth.
