Niklaus' POV

I watched through my room balcony and listened as my siblings packed Amelia's things in a hurry, before the time I gave her elapses. They were mostly all sad and brooding, while Adeline kept crying. I hoped she would forgive me, but I didn't regret what I did. I even showed mercy. I wanted Amelia dead.

I had no idea which pack she was relocating to, and I didn't care. The packs close by would not take her in as most were my allies. The ones that weren't might see her as a spy. She would really have to start life alone.

My heart clenched as I remembered the first time I met her. I was only three years old and I had lost my mom a year ago. My dad was mostly busy with pack duties and he felt like he was neglecting me. That was why he chose to have another Luna— to take care of me. He chose an Omega because he thought she would do a better job.

My father courted her in secret, and by the time he brought her home, she was already marked.
