ASHINA’S POV

I had made up my mind.

Ever since Alpha Boris confided in me about the woman he still loved—someone who had saved his life and then married someone else—I knew I couldn’t allow myself to get emotionally involved.

No matter how deeply I admired him… no matter how easily my heart betrayed me in his presence, I couldn’t let myself fall further. Not now and not when I still had a war to fight and revenge to fulfill.

Therefore, I began keeping my distance.
