CHAPTER 10 ~ SHOPPING SPREE

FLAVIA'S POV

Picking out an outfit is going to be more difficult than I thought. I mean, everything in here is super beautiful, classy and very elegant, I have no idea how I will be able to pick just one dress especially because I don't even know what type of event we are even going for.

"Oh my goodness Flavia, everything looks really beautiful." She pointed out excitedly while checking out all the dresses.

"Yeah, very beautiful which will make it even more difficult to decide. I have no idea what the function is about, so I have no inklin what dress to go with." I whined while staring at the dress.

I mean, I love all of them but I have my eyes on like five dresses already, it will be really difficult to decide. "Well, the best thing to do is to play it safe. We will go for an outfit that is beautiful, elegant, classy and something that can fit into all types of events." She pointed out while removing some dresses from the rack. Let's try this, start with this one." She shoved some clothes in my hands and I walked over to the changing room to try them on.

"Wow, this is beautiful. What do you think?" Jaz asked as soon as I stepped out in a white dress. I mean it beautiful but I am not really convinced that it's the right choice.

"It's good but let me try the others before we decide."

"Yeah, sure." I went back to the changing room and I tried a pink dress and another midnight blue dress. They are all beautiful, so I am even more confused. "This is definitely the one." Jaz pointed out as I stepped out in the fifth dress.

It's an elegant black sequin V-Neck dress, it's a sleeveless, long bodycon backless dress with high-Low hem and it's made of stretchy polyester-spandex blend. It has a glittering feel to the material and I really love it... It's classy, elegant and at the same time, very simple.

"Right?" I twirled around for her.

"Yeah, it's perfect and it suits your body type perfectly. It will fit into any occasion and it will definitely turn heads, especially Louis's. He will be stuck on you when he sees you in that dress." She pointed out.

"Can you just stop with the Louis talk, I am not looking to get his attention. I am not interested in him." I clarified just in case she doesn't know... I mean, I want him to appreciate my looks tonight and acknowledge my efforts for showing up for him in such a short notice and I want him to know that I am classy enough to fit into his league but that's it.

I don't want him to get attracted to me, there is absolutely no need for that. This is a contract relationship and I don't want to go about expecting the impossible, he has already made it abundantly clear that I am not his type.

"Okay, if you insist."

"Yes, I insisted." I went back to the changing room to change back to my normal clothes. "You know what?" I asked as soon as I stepped out.

"What?"

"I think it's best for me to just go with all the clothes, they are all very beautiful and he made it clear that I will follow him to his events, so I will definitely need them. Besides the budget is unlimited, so I don't think he will mind." I pointed out.

"Yeah, that's true and it's a good idea."

I picked the five dresses that I tried out and then Jazmine took two dresses as well before we stepped out of the store and left for the shopping mall.

"Do we really need to buy shoes because I think I have something that will fit with the dress." I pointed out when I realized that we were going to the shopping mall for shoes.

"I know you do but you need something new, remember we are trying to give you an elegant look, so we are buying everything, including bag and even jewelry." She stated and I decided not to argue with her.

After all, I called her because I know she's an expert in fashion, she's definitely better than me in that aspect.

By the time we finished from the shopping mall, I was a little worried that I have spent way too much. I mean, I know he said it's unlimited but I still think I went overboard because I stepped out of the shopping mall with six shopping bags, filled with classy shoes, expensive jewelries and even some clutch purses to go with my outfit and Jazmine on the other hand is holding three shopping bags as well... Which is a total of nine bags and to think we already bought seven dresses from the first store. Yeah, I definitely went too far.

"I think we have spent too much money." I pointed out as soon as we got into the car.

"Yeah, you are right. We spent a lot of money but I don't think he will mind, most of the things we bought is technically for his benefits. To get you ready for when next he has an event." It's true but I feel bad for spending that much, the last thing I want is for him to think that I am a gold digger.

We made our way home after we left the shopping mall and I am glad because I am already exhausted. I thought it was going to be a quick shopping but we wasted so much time going from one store to the other.

"Thank you so much for today, I am very grateful." I appreciated as when we got back to Louis's place.

"You don't have to thank me, it was a fun time and I even shopped for myself as well." She pointed out but I am still very grateful that she dropped everything to help out.

"Alright, I will call you later to tell you about the event. Take care of yourself."

"Okay, take care." She said just before I stepped out of the car.

I made my way inside as soon as she drove out and I made a beeline to my room to have a well deserved rest before Louis returns. I don't even know what time the event is or how long I have to actually get ready.

As soon as I got to my room, I dumped all my shopping bags on the floor and plopped on the bed.

"Zzzzaaah!" A deep, satisfying yawn escaped my lips when a knock interrupted my sleep. "Come in." Alison stepped in and I couldn't help but I wonder what she wants.

"Sorry to disturb you Miss."

"It's fine, what do you want?" I asked as I managed to get out of bed and sit upright.

I didn't mean to sleep, the shopping was exhausting and I just wanted to rest a little bit I ended up having a nap.

"Mr Frederick said that you should get ready. He will be waiting for you downstairs in an hour." She informed and all the sleep instantly cleared.

One hour is not enough time for me to get ready, he should have informed me earlier. "When did he get back?" I asked curiously.

"A few minutes ago."

"Alright, I will be ready." She stepped out of the room and I ran hurriedly to the bathroom to have a quick shower and I made sure not to spend much time in the bathroom since I know it will take a bit of time to do my makeup.

I did my makeup as quick as possible, then my hair and then, the beautiful black dress. It fits perfectly and it shows all my curves, honestly it looks better on me now than it did at the store.

I wore a simple necklace, matching earrings and bracelet. "Perfect." I complimented as I checked out my appearance in the top to bottom vanity. I quickly wore my shoes and hurried out of my room because I am currently five minutes late.

I got nervous as I walked down the stairs while Louis stood at the bottom of the stairs in a midnight blue color suit with his eyes fixated in me. "You look..." He paused as he took in my appearance , like he was searching for the right word. "Great."

"Thanks, you look great too." I pointed out and then I opened my silver clutch purse and brought out his black card. "This is your card, I am sorry I spent too much but I had to buy something dresses for other days as well, just in case any other events comes up." I explained.

"Don't sweat it, you didn't even make an impact on my account balance. You seem to forget that you married a fucking billionaire. Anyways, you will learn to spend as time goes on." He pointed out as he collected the card and stepped out of the house.
