Chapter 43

 I started leaning down to the surface of the water to row by my hands to the right way. But suddenly I fell down into the water.

“Ohh!” I screamed.

“Peanut!” I heard him screaming.

Then I heard the splash of the water and saw him swimming to me. I could have swum by myself, but I panicked and froze. He grabbed my waist and we started swimming up to the surface.

 “Thank you!” I panted. We approached the canoe and sat in it. “Okay! Let’s continue the way.”

He resumed rowing.

“How is your family?” I asked, when I suddenly remembered that day, when I got to know them.

“Good, James went to his grandma and others are in Spain,” he told.

 “Why did’t you go with them?” I asked bewildered.

“Because I hate that place.”
