“Gypsy.” Enzo whispered her name huskily.

A jolt went up Gypsy's spine at the voice she hadn't heard in six years. And just like that, all the emotions came crashing back.

“Oh, you two know each other already.” David chuckled awkwardly, turning his questioning gaze to her. “How do you know him?”

But Gypsy wasn't listening; she barely even heard him. Her gaze was pinned on Enzo as the rush of emotions rolled through her.

He didn't look very different from when she last saw him except for the slightly dark bags under his eyes. Yet that didn't mellow how handsome he looked in any way. His piercing green eyes that she could remember so well took her in with an equal amount of shock.

Gypsy had always imagined what her reaction would be like if she had him in front of her again. Always it'd been indifference. But right now, the calvacade of emotions running through her was too turbulent for her to act indifferent.
