Luisa’s POV

“We are here to take you on a date.” I said with a slight smile. What if it was a bad idea and he was too busy to go on date? I never thought this far while planning; all I wanted to do was take his mind off Nelly. He might not act it, but I felt he was hurt by the fact that she was not his daughter. He must have been hurt that someone he once cared about could go to such lengths to deceive him.

“You and Chris.” He asked.

I nodded, “I decided to make it a family date. I feel we haven’t been spending more time with Chris, so this is an opportunity to spend time with him.”

He placed a kiss on Chris's forehead, “Okay. So, where do you guys plan to take me?” I could see the amusement in his eyes, and I was glad to be the reason he was feeling this way.

“That is a surprise. I hope we are not disturbing your work.”
