“Umm we were out to get some air.” I lied, instantly regretting why I spoke up.

“Oooh why would only the two of you leave the party to get some fresh air?” Nick mocked, wriggling his eyebrows. That prick! He’s gonna get it! I rolled my eyes.

“Well, we had something to discuss. And it’s definitely none of your business!” I gritted my teeth. The betrayal running fresh on my mind again, making me dizzy all over again.

“Hold your horses, Aivy Daivy! No need to get so worked up.” Nick responded, a little scared at my reaction.

I shrugged it off and glared at Kevin once more.

Dad had a grim look on his face, but he gave me a small smile when he noticed I was looking at him. And mom pressed her lips together, so I simply nodded my head reassuring her that everything was fine.
