Elysia's Pov
There was a pregnant silence between us, and for a moment, I felt as though I had bitten the lion's tail. His gaze narrowed further, unleashing his deep-rooted hatred for me.
His grip on my arms tightened, making me moan in pain, but he cared less.
Suddenly, there was a smirk on his face, a little mild, but it didn't fail to tell me he was enjoying every bit of my suffering.
Every bone in my body despised him. The feeling of his breath on my skin made goosebumps appear all over my body as if a beast was holding me down.
But that was what he was-a beast.
Surprisingly, his grip around my arms loosen. When I fixed my gaze on him, stunned by his action, I caught the mockery in his eyes.
This man is planning something devilish. I'm certain, and whatever it was, it was to make me suffer.
"I guess you’d be happy if we did it in your favorite hotel.”
He muttered words that threw me in confusion. My brows crinkled as I watched him dressed up, and suddenly, he gripped my arms, hauling me towards the door.
I tried screaming, but the staff locked themselves in and ceased from even taking a glimpse of what was happening. What did I expect? They were like dogs loyal to their master.
When we got outside, he nudged me inside the car, cuffing my hands to the car's door. My legs cuffed to the other door at the back seat. My head was on the car's seat-there was no way I could even look out through the car's window.
I kept struggling, hitting the window with my legs, but it made no difference-I was tied to the car like some criminal.
He drove through a route I found hard to discern. I have no idea where he was taking me.
And where was my favorite hotel?
I kept thinking about it, but couldn't come up with any ideas, and suddenly he stopped.
He dragged me out of the car, heading toward the receptionist.
His grip around my wrists tightens every minute. When he was done lodging in, we went straight for the elevator.
I looked around, and I hadn't been there before. I don't know why he referred to it as my favorite hotel.
Immediately we walked inside the room, he headed straight to the terrace and spread the curtains wide open, and there it was-
My favorite hotel.
My body suddenly quivers. My eyes opened wide.
'Why did he bring me here?'
"There you have it." Damon smiled. His hands spread apart as he kept twirling and laughing so loud, making me feel every bone in my body crushing to pieces.
Suddenly he stopped.
His steps moved toward my direction. Every step he took toward me, I took the same backward.
When I reached the door, I kept banging it hard, hoping someone would come to my rescue, but I was all alone.
Damon tugged my arm and swerved me around. Pinning me to the door as he rocked his hips against mine.
I felt disgusted.
He then threw me on the bed and laid on me. His breath on my skin ignited my deep hatred for him.
He kissed my toes and thighs, making me feel like a python was swallowing me. When he grabbed my breast, I felt a sense of defilement.
My husband was about to rape me again.
He placed his lips on mine, forcing them to part. He sucked in my lower lips, and I felt a tingling from the bite.
But then he stopped, which made me surprised.
He was wobbling his head so much that I thought he was insane.
But the only thing I cared about was his body weight on me, and I wanted him off me.
And miraculously, he did.
He stood far from the bed, raveling his head, and then strode to the terrace.
I scoffed as I struggled to get off the cuffs, but there was no way out.
Patiently, I waited for him to release me, but then his phone rang.
His divided attention suddenly focused on me. His eyes darkened, making me wonder who had called him.
He hung up-his countenance gleaming with rage that was evident even in the tone of his voice.
I could hear him grunting as he picked my clothes from the floor.
"Get dressed."
....
I was seated beside him as we drove out of the hotel. I couldn't tell where we were headed, and I was just glad he failed to touch me and thrust his member inside of me.
I can get pregnant again. I would hate them even more than I hate the ones we have.
He didn't spare me a glance. Not even for a second.
The muscles of his face were tightened, and his lips curved to a corner. Questions about his attitude were hanging on my lips, but I care less.
Maybe not.
I leaned my back on the seat as I whined down the glass. The fantastic evening air is feeling my nostrils with its freshness.
I can't remember. I went for a long drive, and one this quiet.
This was heaven.
I placed my elbow on the window as I looked out. I was watching the cars as they drove past the bridge. The sea looks even more beautiful this morning.
"Oh my, the bridge." I suddenly realized that it was the way to my father in law house.
'I'm totally screwed. I'm not prepared to face even my family, but I was on the way to my in-laws.'
If I'm asked who wants me dead, I won't hesitate to name every member of Damon's family.
They despised me like I was some disease that kills everything it touches. I don't even get to speak in their presence.
"We are here." Damon glared at me as he drove through the mansion's gate.
My teeth gritted, and my body quivered in fear.
When we got out of the car, the first person I saw was my father-in-law, who suddenly strides faster to where I was, and immediately I lowered my head in respect.
"Don't you dare try to look like you are some saint whore."
I gulped my saliva and slowly raised my head, but then-
My father's in-law hands struck my face so hard that I became deaf for a minute.
The hell!
Elysia's pov Damon turned towards me, his expression still unreadable. "If you want to be the CEO, Elysia, you're going to have to work for it. You'll start as my assistant, and we'll see how you handle the job. If you prove yourself, then maybe we can talk about making you the CEO." I gritted my teeth, my fists still clenched. I couldn't believe that he was making me jump through all these hoops just to prove myself. "I don't need your help, Damon," I spat out, my anger boiling over. "I can do this on my own. I don't need you to hold my hand and guide me through everything." Damon's lips quirked up in a small smile. "Is that so? Well, then. I guess we'll see how well you do on your own." He walked towards the door, turning back for a moment to add one final remark. "But just remember, Elysia. This is my company as much as it is yours. And I won't let you ruin it." I watched him leave, feeling a mixture of anger and frustration. I couldn't believe that Damon was making things so
Elysia's pov "I can't believe you're doing this to me, Damon!" I yelled, my frustration and anger mounting with each passing moment. "You know how hard I've worked to build up that company, and now you're telling me that I'm not fit to take over? That's complete bullshit!" Damon's expression remained calm, but I could see the hint of irritation in his eyes. "Watch your language, Elysia," he said firmly. "You're not doing yourself any favors by acting like this." I didn't care. I was too angry to care. "You know what, Damon? Screw you!" I spat, my voice rising with each word. "Screw you and your stupid mother! She've been trying to steal my company for months, and now you're using my memory loss as an excuse to take it away from me. You've taken over my family's company, and now you are doing this to me as well. Well, I'm not going to let that happen." Helen, who had been standing beside Kylian, stepped forward, her face twisted in anger. "You're lying, Elysia," she said, her voice
Elysia's pov "Take the money and move," he said, his voice shaking. I felt my heart pounding in my chest as I took the bag and slowly backed away. The man followed me, his gun still trained on me. As I spun to my right, and I saw his car parked just a few yards away. He motioned for me to follow him, and I complied. We walked in silence, the only sound being our footsteps and the occasional sound of a car passing by. When we got to his car, he opened the trunk and told me to put the bag inside. My hands were shaking as I tried to lift the heavy bag. Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my leg. I looked down and saw a gunshot wound. I stumbled, trying to stay upright, and the bag fell to the ground. "Come on, hurry up!" he shouted. I struggled to pick up the bag, feeling the blood soaking through my pants. Eventually, I managed to place the bag inside the trunk. I turned to face him, my eyes blurry with tears of pain and fear. But then, something strange happened. The man was lying
Damon's pov My heart skipped a beat as my father rushed into the room with a gun in his hand. I had never seen him so unhinged before, and it scared me. "Father, put the gun down," I said, trying to keep my voice calm. "This isn't the way to handle things." But my father was beyond reason. He pointed the gun at Quincy, his eyes blazing with anger. "You'll pay for what your father did to me!" he shouted. I could see the fear in Quincy's eyes as my father took aim, and I knew I had to act fast. I lunged forward, grabbing my father's arm and trying to wrestle the gun away from him. "Stop it, Father!" I yelled. "This isn't the answer!" But my father was too strong for me, and he pushed me away with a fierce shove. I stumbled backwards, watching in horror as he pulled the trigger. The sound of the gunshot echoed through the room, and for a moment, everything was still, as my father shot at the roof. I felt sick to my stomach as I realized what had just happened. The board members
Damon's pov It was morning, and Elysia looked radiant as she sat at the breakfast table, sipping her coffee and nibbling on a croissant. But even as I watched her, something nagged at me, deep in my heart. Had she remembered? Had she figured out what I had done? As she rose from the table and headed upstairs to change, I took a deep breath and tried to shake off my anxiety. But when she reappeared, dressed and ready to go, my nerves were still on edge. I tried to put on a brave face as we headed to the living room, where our son Ian was playing with his toys. But I could feel the tension between us, and I knew that something was off. As I settled onto the couch, my phone beeped with a new message. I glanced over the screen, and my heart skipped a beat. It was from Julius, "Quincy Randolph, is at the transportation company, he held an open meeting. Where are you?" My eyes turned red with anger. How dare he? How dare he try to steal my company out from under me? I stood up, my
Elysia's pov As I drove down the road towards the beach Helen had picked, I encountered heavy traffic. The cars moved sluggishly, causing me to feel restless and anxious. I kept checking the time on my dashboard, hoping I wouldn't be too late. Finally, I reached the beach, and as expected, Helen was already there. She had parked her car and was waiting with a big bag by her side. As I parked my car beside hers, I noticed that the beach was empty, with no one around except for us. It was just afternoon, and the sun was shining brightly, casting a warm glow on everything around us. I got out of my car and went over to Helen, feeling curious and a little apprehensive. "Hey Helen," I said, "where are the company documents?" Helen looked at me with a strange expression on her face, and then suddenly went down on her knees. "Elysia," she said, "I can never hand over those documents to you." "What?" I said, feeling stunned. "What are you talking about?" Helen opened her bag, and my eyes
