Chapter 33

Kaia's POV

I fought back a smile as I stared at my neck which now beared Kieran's mark. It was a moon shape with a star in the middle which was unlike any mark I had seen and it was absolutely beautiful.

If I had known you'd have this look on your face when you look at my mark, I'd have done so a long time ago." Kieran said, wrapping his arms around me and kissing his mark.

I smiled, “you really should have." I agreed.

He groaned, murmuring how he needed to shower since he had a meeting with the warriors and he couldn't afford to get a hard on in a room full of men. He entered the bathroom, but not before kissing my lips.

Being with him was literally the best thing. It was like I entered a different world, and only he could lead me through.

Dani was right, he didn't mind that he wasn't my first and he assured me that it was okay. But considering the fact that with Aiden, I wasn't given the liberty to enjoy it, being with him felt like the first time.

Chapter 34Kaia's POV “Oh no, oh no!" I murmured as a look of horror crept over my face. I started pacing around in the room, sweats dripping down my forehead. “Bella, my parents are going to love you." Kieran assured me, taking slow steps to where I stood, his hands at each of my side, holding me in place. His eyes held my gaze with so much intensity. “You don't know that, what if they decide that I'm not good enough for you." “You're perfect for me, and they'll see that too when they meet you." I nodded, leaning into his touch when he caressed my face. I don't think I would ever get used to the shiver I feel when he touches me. And now, a part of me believes that as long as he was with me, I could do anything. He dropped the news about his parents coming to visit after we finished dinner. They had been away for a while, enjoying their time away from being the leaders of the pack. And they were going to come here before finally returning to their house. “Come to

Chapter 35 Kaia's POV As I ran, I heard Kieran's footsteps behind me, trying to catch up with me. He was calling out to me but I kept going until I got to the room. I slammed the door shut, the sound echoing through the room, resting my back against it, feeling the cool wood against my skin. Tears pricked at the corner of my eyes as I bent down, wrapping my arms around my legs and burying my head in between my knees, I let the tears fall. I hated how easy it was for me to cry. “A rogue? Goddess!" His mom had said, spitting the word ‘rogue’ with so much disgust. “You knew this and still went ahead to mark her?” She asked. Kieran's voice sounded strained, “I don't care, she's mine and that's not going to change.” The words played over and over in my head, maybe it'd hurt less if I heard it long enough Kieran made an attempt to open the door but nothing happened since I already locked it. Even without seeing him, I knew he was running his hands through his hair. “Bel

Kieran's pov I sat in my office, my eyes fixed on the documents. It had been a long time since the work had been pending, since I had to deal with other things but it was high time I worked on it. “Fuck! How the fuck do I let them get to this point before attending to them?" I thought, groaning lightly. It's like I never learn. “We had other important things to deal with." King said. Spending time with our mate was definitely more important. There was a slight knock on my door, taking my attention of the documents for a minute and that was very much needed. "Come in..." I called and the door creaked open, revealing my Beta and Gamma. The two of them entering together was never good news. “Alpha." They said, bowing their heads before taking the seats on the other side of the table. I turned my head back to what I was doing and Caleb did the same, as if he wasn't the one who dropped there in the first place. “I had the guards release Ida from the dungeon earlier,"

Chapter 37Kieran The sound of someone knocking jolted me awake, having dozed off while working. I resisted the urge to groan at the disturbance. “Come on in” I called, adjusting myself properly on the chair. “Alpha,” Caleb greeted, making his way towards me. He was looking just as tired as I was. But while his own was probably because of patrol, mine was having to deal with my mom and also making sure that Kaia was okay, not thinking about what she heard. I was disappointed that my mom would suggest keeping Kaia around and have another woman be my Luna. I couldn't be more wrong when I told Kaia that my parents would love her. “What's up?” I asked, gently massaging my temple to help with the headache that was quickly forming. “I want to give you a run down of patrol last night, but I can come back." His eyes took in all the papers scattered all over my desk. “It’s fine, What do you have for me?” I ask, tearing my eyes away from the papers and sitting up straight

Chapter 38Kaia's pov I was grinning from ear to ear, I couldn't wait to go on a date with him. “Did he tell you where he's taking you too?" Dani asked, putting finishing touches on my makeup. She was eager to help me with my makeup when I told her about my date with Kieran. I shrugged, “he just said I should get ready." “And that is very helpful." She snorted. She got started on curling my hair. It was already six thirty which means I had thirty minutes left to get ready. Once she was done with my hair, she let it fall on my shoulders. Then she picked out a few dress options from my closet. She crossed out jeans and shorts, so I was left with gowns. We settled on a red gown that stopped mid thigh. It hugged every part of my body. Even without seeing my reflection, I still felt good. “And we're done!" Dani announced, beaming widely as she turned the mirror to face me. “I look good!" I thought, taking in my features. It was hard to remain self conscious when she u

Chapter 39Kaia's pov. I froze in my spot, watching as she came closer to me. She couldn't have let me end this already perfect date well. For very obvious reasons, I avoided running into her as much as possible. Kieran said she would be leaving soon but he wasn't sure either. A part…all part of me was looking forward to that. “Why was she even in the pack house at this time?" I thought. I turned to see if Kieran was nearby but there was no such luck. Soon, she stood in front of me and stared me down with her nose in the air as if I was merely dirt she could crush under her heels. “Ma-” I begin but she cut me off with a raise of her left palm, easily silencing me. “I was Luna of this pack once, you'll address me as such, you wolfless creature” She yelled, her eyes turning black but they returned to their original color almost immediately. I wanted to tell her I had a wolf but couldn't shift but I doubt that would make any difference. “You should never be here,

Chapter 40Kieran's Pov As I made my way out of the room, I couldn't help but play the events of the previous day. She'd enjoyed her day and so had I. But all of sudden, she couldn't stand the sight of me. My heart felt tight and King had been very quiet since she started ignoring us, we were even blocked out of her mind. “..Alpha?” I heard someone call and I snapped out of my haze to stare at my beta and gamma who took a glance at me and back to each other. I definitely didn't sleep well and now, I am lost in thoughts. “What?” I asked harshly and they gulped, I considered apologizing for my tone but I was feeling too hurt and preoccupied by thoughts of kaia to even think of doing anything else. “We have to go train with the new recruits, Alpha” And with that, they both left me in the office alone and I felt the wheels in my head turn. What recruits? Recruiting of new warriors was not till a month from now. I didn't care to think much about it because my mind soon went

Chapter 41 Ryder’s POV -(To show you his view on his relationship with Allie) I have never been so confused…maybe I have, but this was just over the top. I wanted a mate, one that the moon goddess prepared for me. I wanted something like what Caleb and Dani shared and even Kieran. But at the same time, there was no denying the attraction I felt towards Allie. And for the longest time, trying to ignore felt like a waste of time especially when she felt the same way. Before she clocked eighteen, that was two years ago, I hoped she was going to mine. That hope was crushed when my wolf didn't recognize her as ours…even Kaid was disappointed. But one thing led to the other that night and ever since then, a part of me couldn't stop thinking about her, misses her when she wasn't close. “What are you thinking hard about?" Caleb asked, jolting me back to reality. “Taking over your position." He snorted, “if you weren't so lazy, I'll believe that?" He said. “I'm offended." I sai

Chapter 148 Dylan's POV I was in shock as I continued staring at the girl…Nora. The way she put herself in front of me was making my wolf go crazy. My mind was no longer on what was being discussed in the room, all I wanted was to talk to her…alone, to confirm I wasn't imagining things. “Keep your eyes on her," Alpha Kieran commanded, bringing me back to the present. “I need to talk to Ryder about something." Nodding slightly, I led her out of the office and immediately we were out, she hastened her footsteps, trying to get away, but I was fast, grabbing her arms and the sparks which I had thought was a fragment of my imagination earlier, shot through me again. I could tell she felt it too. “What was that?" She feigned a confused look, “what was what?" She asked, snatching her arm out of my hand. I let out a frustrated sigh, my wolf wanted to take control but that would be a mistake on my part. He was far from being patient and the girl in front of me needed a whol

Chapter 147 Kaia's POV The door opened and Dylan entered with a familiar face standing beside him…Nora! I haven't seen her as much since I ran away and was brought back. She had her head facing the ground and Dylan…well, he looked like him, just a little tense. “You know her?" Dylan asked, not masking his shock. I nodded, “she works in the kitchen." I replied. “What did you do to her? She looks like she wants to disappear." Kieran snorted as he sat upright, his arms around me loosening. “You found something?” He asked, clearly not interested in small talk. Dylan nodded and stepped forward, stretching a phone to Kieran. "She was talking to her mom about Luna Kaia, and there are pictures of her on the phone.” He said. “I think it might be connected to the attack." He added, his voice low as he spoke and he looked away from her. My eyes widened, my jaw dropped as I looked at the girland I found it hard to believe, considering how many times she defended me in the presence

Chapter 146Dylan's POV No matter how many times I repeated it to myself that I was acting under a spell, it didn't help the guilt I felt, especially when I saw the bruises on Alpha Kieran's body. No doubt he didn't fight back which made everything worse. “You're here again." Allie said, “you're stealing my thinking spot and I don't think I like it." She added, coming to sit beside me on the bench. The pavilion was her favorite spot and because it was mostly secluded, it became mine too. “Thinking spot, huh? What else do you have to think about? You're the happiest I've seen you." Her smile widened, “I am happy…but it doesn't mean I can't come here to think." She said. “A lot of things have happened the past few days and even weeks, I just want things to go back to how they used to be." I nodded, understanding what she was talking about. Her mom was currently sitting in the dungeon and she didn't want to hear anything about her. “I thought things were going well

Chapter 145 Kieran's POV I turned back to Gerald, now, even more determined as I couldn't wait to find out what Kaia wanted to tell me. “I'm listening." I said, referring to the question I asked him. “All I know is that the Alpha of their Pack knew something he shouldn't and in order to silence him, rogues were sent to their Pack, catching them unaware." He said, “but I had nothing to do with it." He insisted. “By their Alpha, you mean Alpha Marcus?" Caleb asked. My brows furrowed, everyone knew he was the Alpha and there was no need dwelling on that. But Gerald shook his head, “Alpha Marcus is the twin brother of the real Alpha." He said, “Alpha Matthew is the elder twin which makes him the rightful heir to the throne." I messaged my temple gently, if this was true, we were years away from finding Kaia's biological parents. I wanted to ask how he knew all of this, something even my Dad as an Alpha didn't know…or probably because I didn't ask. Caleb had suddenly g

Chapter 144 Kieran's POV Apart from the things we found after rummaging through the house we found out belonged to Gerald and his mate after they were banished from the Pack, we haven't found anything new. And the location of Gerald's mate and the son, whose name was Felix was yet to be determined, but we now have names we were working on, instead of just wild guesses. It was confirmed that this Felix guy was born earlier than I was, which would suggest that the reason he was dead set on attacking the Pack was because he thinks that for whatever reason, he was supposed to be the Alpha of the Pack. “I mean, out of all the things I knew was wrong with your mom, cheating on your dad is next level.” King said. "You do know they're your parents too, right?” "Nah, I'll pass. But I'm glad he did the right thing.” My Dad’s rejection came as a surprise to me, it was the last thing I expected him to do. And no doubt, the rejection was weighing on both of them, but my

Chapter 143 Kaia's POV After everyone left to carry out the task that had been assigned to them, only Katherine and I were left in the office, sitting opposite each and the both of us didn't try to start up any conversation, which for a moment was good because the only thing I could think about was Kieran bringing back the person behind this spell and also hoping that Dylan was okay. “Why didn't we think of Nessa?" Lylah asked me, and my eyes widened. “Fuck!" I cursed, “What if that's the reason she's been staying away because she's planning this?" I replied, asking a question of my own. I stood up, with a sense of urgency, causing Katherine to look up at me. “What's wrong? Is everything okay with Dylan?" She asked. The worry in her voice made me forget for a brief moment why I stood up. Of course she was worried about her son. She knew that no matter what she said, Dylan still would've offered to be the bait. “He's fine." I told her. It hasn't been long s

Chapter 142 Alpha Tyler’s POV I can't believe Clarissa would do something like this, a huge part of me was already trying to deny the possibility of her having a child before our first son. There was no way that could've happened without my knowledge considering we found each other really early but the resemblance between the boy and Kieran was uncanny. Even after the evidence, I managed to convince myself that something else was at play but the past few weeks, her sudden disappearance left me questioning if I was protecting myself and pretending not to see what was happening. But spells? She has gone too far this time. Even a blind person could see how much both Kieran and Kaia cared for each other. Her position was never a problem…neither was it for me, as long as she made Kieran happy, I was fine. If Clarissa had been an ordinary wolf, I still would've taken her as my Luna without a second thought. But for some reason, it didn't sit well with Clarissa and she was m

I wouldn't blame Luna Kaia, if she refuses to heal her. “What do you mean?" Dani asked, her eyes widening. “Is Allie okay?" I nodded. "She's fine. Ryder is taking care of her and Elizabeth already assured us that she just needs to wake up now.” I told her. "Oh my gosh! I have to go see her.” Her voice came out low, the worry in them could be felt from miles away. That was the same reaction we had but thank goddess she had the help she needed. “Ryder is with her, but Luna Kaia is alone with Katherine. Go to her instead." She nodded and wrapped her hand around me. I could feel her fear and worry through our bond and they were justified. It was like we couldn't catch a break, and goin

Chapter 140 Kieran's POV I was angry…no, mad. My eyes darkened and I could feel the veins on my neck popping out. King was struggling to take over and rip my mom to pieces. I couldn't believe she would go to that extent to make sure Kaia was out of the picture. Kaia's grip on my arm was the only reason I was still in the office and not on my way to their house. “Bella–” My voice came out strained. Watching my sister in that condition and the fact that it was supposed to be for made my blood boil. “Listen to me," Kaia said, her voice equally angry which threw me off balance for a few seconds. “I know you want to deal with your mom in the worst way possible and I'm on the same page with you.” She continued. Caleb, who was standing a few feets away from me nodded at what Kaia said and so did Dylan.
