IRIS POV:

I lay against Aurelian’s chest while his fingers moved slowly through my hair.

His phone suddenly started ringing on the bedside table.

Aurelian frowned slightly and reached for it.

It was an unknown number.

He answered calmly. “Aurelian Virix speaking.”

A man’s voice answered from the other side.

“Could you make your way to the shore by the woods you own?”

Aurelian’s expression changed slightly.

“The private shore?” he asked.

AURELIAN POV:I stood there, breathing heavily. The car was smoking, and it was about to explode. Then I heard engines approaching. I turned and saw several black cars coming from the direction of the mansion. They must have heard the crash. They stopped a short distance away, and the doors opened. Men stepped out, their eyes moving from me to the destroyed car, then to the empty truck. Their faces were confused.I walked toward the nearest car and opened the back door."Back to the mansion," I said. The men exchanged glances and nodded. I climbed into the back seat, and the driver pulled away, leaving the wreckage behind. I leaned my head back against the seat and closed my eyes. My body was still aching from the crash, but I forced myself to ignore it.The car moved through the streets, and the mansion gates appeared ahead. They opened as we approached, and the car drove through. It stopped near the front steps, and I stepped out.Stephen rushed out of the front entrance before I co

  • Claimed by My Alpha’s Lycan Boss   Chapter 267

IRIS POV:The door groaned as it was pushed open, and I was dragged across the threshold. My feet scraped against the floor as the men pulled me forward, their grips tight on my arms. I stumbled and nearly fell, but they held me up and kept moving. Then I looked up and stopped struggling. The inside of the building looked nothing like the outside. The exterior had been cracked and crumbling, covered in vines and decay. But inside, it was clean and well-furnished. The floors were polished. The walls were painted a deep, rich color. Soft lighting came from lamps placed on tables and shelves. There were chairs and couches and rugs. It looked like someone lived here, like someone very rich. The men dragged me across the room and pushed me down onto a couch. The fabric was soft beneath my hands. Rowe was pushed down next to me. His head lolled to the side and his eyes were half-closed. I looked around the room. There were no windows. The walls were lined with bookshelves and paintings. A f

  • Claimed by My Alpha’s Lycan Boss   Chapter 266

AURELIAN POV:I kept walking along the empty road. The sun was higher. My clothes were still torn and stained with dried blood. Every few steps, I glanced back over my shoulder, but there was nothing there. Just the road stretching behind me, empty and silent. Then I heard an engine approaching. I turned and saw a black car coming toward me. It slowed as it reached me and stopped. The window rolled down, and a familiar face looked out. One of my drivers."Sir," he said. "Stephen sent me."I opened the door and climbed into the back seat. The driver pulled away, and the car moved fast through the streets. I leaned back against the seat and closed my eyes for a moment. My body was still aching. The wound had healed, but the memory of the pain remained. We reached the mansion gates and drove through. The car stopped near the front steps, and I got out. I walked toward the entrance and pushed the door open. The house was quiet. I walked through the entrance hall and up the stairs.I reach

  • Claimed by My Alpha’s Lycan Boss   Chapter 265

IRIS POV:I was pressed against the back seat of the black sedan with my hands tied behind my back. The rope was tight and rough against my wrists, and I could feel it dig into my skin with every bump in the road. Two men sat on either side of me. They didn't speak. They just stared straight ahead with cold, empty eyes. The car moved fast through the dark streets.I tried to look out the window, but the glass was tinted too dark to see anything clearly. I could only catch glimpses of trees and streetlights passing by in blurred streaks.I pulled against the rope, but it only tightened. I stopped and tried to breathe. Then I heard a sound next to me. I turned my head.Rowe was sitting on the other side of the back seat. His head was slumped forward, and his eyes were closed. Blood was still drying on his forehead from where he had hit the steering wheel. His body swayed with the movement of the car.He groaned again, and his eyes fluttered open. He blinked a few times and looked around

  • Claimed by My Alpha’s Lycan Boss   Chapter 264

AURELIAN POV:I took a step closer to the scarred man. He was still holding the gun. His hand was shaking. He raised it again and pulled the trigger. The bullet left the barrel and I felt it hit my chest, but I didn't stop. I kept walking. He fired again. Another bullet hit me, this one struck my shoulder. But I kept walking. He fired a third time. A fourth. The shots came faster now, one after another, and the other men around him began firing too. The night filled with the sound of gunfire, loud and relentless. I could see the flashes from the muzzles, bright and quick, and I could smell the gunpowder.I raised my hands and shielded my face. The bullets tore through my clothes. Each one stung and burned, but I didn't fall.My eyes burned gold and I released my aura outward, a wave of invisible force that spread through the air around me. The men froze and slowly, their arms dropped to their sides and the guns hung loosely in their hands. Their eyes turned white. One of them raised h

AURELIAN POV:I held onto her hand as we walked out of the room. The hallway was dark. Our footsteps echoed in the silence as we made our way toward the front entrance.Rowe was standing near the car when we stepped outside. The night air was cool and the sky was dark. A few stars were visible above the treeline."We're going back to my father's," I said.Rowe nodded and opened the door for Iris. She climbed into the back seat and I followed her. Rowe closed the door and walked around to the driver's side. The engine started with a low hum and the car pulled away from the mansion.Iris leaned closer to me and rested her head against my shoulder."Your father," she said quietly. "Does he know about me?""I told him about you. About the baby."She looked up at me."What did he say?""That's the reason he offered to help me. He was angry at first. But he's always been slow to warm up to people."She smiled slightly."That sounds familiar."I laughed softly."I don't know what you're talk
