CHAPTER 6

“Tell me where you are going to meet that friend of yours. I will drop you right there. If you don't tell me, then I will take you to my company, and you will have to stick with me the whole day.”

He looked damn serious when he said that. I took a deep breath. “Okay, we are meeting at Raspberry Cafe now. After that, we will go for dinner.”

“And after dinner, to drink,” Cassian said in the middle, before I could complete my sentence.

But what he said was right. So, in the end, he dropped me off in front of the cafe. After reaching there, I quickly got out of the car. I was about to dash inside, but then I realized that Cassian had dropped me here.

“Thank you for dropping me here, Cassian.” Saying that, I turned towards the cafe and saw my friend standing outside near the door, smiling at me.

The moment I reached him, I smacked his shoulder because he hadn't replied to my text yesterday. Instead, he had been calling me a pig. “Piggy, you are finally here.” He said it with a grin, but then his eyes moved behind me. “What the fuck? What's wrong with that guy? Why is he staring at me?”

When I heard Ron, I glanced back and saw that Cassian's car was still there, with the windows down, while Cassian was looking at us normally.

“I will explain everything. Let's go back inside first. Come on.” I said that and pushed him inside by his back.

After going in, when we sat down, we ordered some coffee. For myself, I ordered black coffee because I don't like anything sweet at all.

“So, tell me, who was that man? Do you know him?” Ron asked.

I had known Ron since I was in high school. He had brown hair and brown eyes, and he was a really handsome guy in our school. Even in university, girls were crazy about him. And he had always been there for me whenever I needed him.

He was my best buddy.

“Do you remember when I told you my dad was getting married? You won't believe who she was.”

I told Ron everything. Every detail. I was also itching to tell him everything since we shared almost everything with each other.

After I spilled the whole tea to him, he was crunching on the cookies while drinking his coffee, and he seemed completely invested in everything I was telling him.

“So that's it? All of this happened because of me? His hand got cut and all.” I said.

“But that wasn't actually your fault, was it?”

He put down his coffee cup and leaned towards me a little before smacking me on the forehead.

“Piggy, it was him who chose to place his hand there himself. So why is it your fault? You didn't know his hand was there, so chill. There's no need to feel guilty.”

Well, Ron was right. Still, I couldn't help myself from thinking that it was my responsibility.

“Ron, leave that aside. But how dare you hit me on my precious forehead? You know I don't like pain at all.” I grabbed two cookies and stuffed them into his mouth. “Hahaha, you deserve this for messing with me.”

I was proud of myself for taking revenge on him.

After that, we talked so much and went for a walk because, of course, we had eaten so much. Once we reached the park, Ron sat down on the bench, and I started practicing my acting.

“Nick, this is the reason why I moved out from here. I never loved you. Never. I love myself, actually.” I burst into laughter.

“Piggy, that was so hilarious. Like, I know you have talent for acting. I've seen your theatre performances. But you've been so lazy these days since you moved in with me. You will need to practice acting for two hours every day.”

Now look at him, trying to be my dad. Which I didn't like because I already had a dad. I moved at full speed and stretched my leg toward him as if I were about to kick him.
