The golden sun poured through the crystal ceiling of the royal court, casting a warm, magical glow across the room. Queen Delilah had just declared her first judgment as the Queen of the Magic Kingdom. Her voice had been calm and strong. Her decision had been fair and wise. And now, the entire court was filled with joy.

People stood and clapped. Some cried with happiness. Others hugged one another. The sound of laughter and cheerful voices echoed across the marble hall.

"She is the perfect ruler we’ve been waiting for," an elderly witch whispered to her daughter.

"The Goddess chose well," said a warrior standing near the window.

"She has the heart of a mother and the mind of a queen," murmured a council elder.

"She will heal this broken land. I can feel it," added a young Luna with tears in her eyes.

Small groups formed as people began to chat among themselves. The air was full of soft conversations, little laughs, and sighs of relief. For the first time in a long time, ho

  • DESTINED TO BE QUEEN: LYCAN KING UNEXPECTED MATE    172 THE MORNING STORM

Alec stepped out of the elevator and entered the long, marble-floored hallway of his estate. The cold tiles kissed the soles of his bare feet as he walked, dressed only in grey sweatpants. No shoes. No shirt. Just sweat and heat clinging to his skin after a restless night. Two maids, who were busy dusting the furniture and mopping the floor, froze the moment they saw him. Their eyes widened in shock. They had never seen their master like this before. He never stayed the night at home. Usually, Alec brought meetings to the estate, discussed numbers and deals, and then left again, like a ghost. The house was cold and quiet, always clean, always prepared for a master who rarely lived in it. But this morning was different. He saw the fear on their faces and spoke softly as he passed them, “Good morning to you too.” His voice startled them. They bowed quickly, murmuring greetings, but he had already walked past. In the kitchen, the scent of fresh bread and eggs hung in the air. A m

Shola sat on her bed, staring at the wall. Her body was still. Her heart was not. She had turned off the lights, hoping the darkness would help calm her mind. But nothing worked. Not even the cool breeze from the open window. The scent of the night air brought no peace. Her lips still tingled, remembering Alec’s kiss. And her heart… her heart refused to slow down. Her phone buzzed again. Thomas. Her boyfriend of two years. The man who had always been there. Gentle. Safe. Kind. She ignored the call. Tears gathered in her eyes. “What’s wrong with me?” she whispered. She touched her lips, then pulled her hand away quickly as if they burned. She felt dirty. Weak. Guilty. Alec had kissed her. She had let him. No, worse, she had kissed him back. And it felt like her soul was on fire. Her body had responded in ways she didn’t understand. Like it already knew him. Like it belonged to him. And now, no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t forget the way he made her feel. She cl

Shola stood at the sink, washing her hands slowly. The water was warm, and it helped her steady her thoughts. She reached for the towel and dried her hands. Then, leaning closer to the mirror, she adjusted her hair and smoothed the wrinkles on her black dress. Her heart was still beating fast from the meeting. The looks from the men, especially Alec, made her feel something she couldn’t explain. She picked up her small black handbag, took a deep breath, and walked toward the door. Just as she reached for the handle, the door swung open. Alec stood there. Tall, calm, powerful. Without saying a word, he stepped inside and shut the door quietly behind him. Before she could speak or even react, he moved with startling speed. His arms pinned her gently but firmly against the wall. She gasped. Her back hit the cool surface as she looked up at him, completely caught off guard. “What are you doing?” she managed to whisper, her voice low and shaky. He didn’t speak right away. His face w

  • DESTINED TO BE QUEEN: LYCAN KING UNEXPECTED MATE    169 THE MEETING THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

"Things are getting worse. And I don't think this is going to end well for us." The voice came from one of the men sitting around a large, oval conference table. The room was silent, except for the soft hum of the air conditioner and the tapping sound of fingers against polished wood. The people gathered in this room were part of a secret group, the People’s Choice Council. Their goal was simple but dangerous: bring down the corrupt ruler of Teras, Supreme Commander Tim Dylan. At the head of the table sat Alec Lincoln. Everyone in the room respected him. He was powerful, smart, and the wealthiest man in Teras. But Alec had no desire to rule. That had never been his dream. His mission was to protect the people and restore peace in the land. To do that, someone else had to take the throne. For the past five years, Alec and this council had been secretly fighting the current government. While the regime used fear and violence, Alec’s group focused on protecting civilians, rescuing t

The large royal dining room sparkled with golden lights, and the smell of delicious food filled the air. The entire Royal Family sat together at the long table, smiling and talking. It was a day of celebration, full of happiness and love. Queen Delilah sat at the head of the table beside her two mates, King Maxwell and Alpha Farrell. They were surrounded by their children, strong, gifted, and beautiful. Over the years, the family had grown. After Delilah became Queen of the Magic Kingdom, she had two more children. Twins named Senai and Rhea. Today was their twenty-second birthday, and the whole family had gathered to celebrate. But not everyone at the table was smiling. “Why are you not eating your food, Rhea?” King Maxwell asked gently. He had been watching his daughter closely and noticed something was off. Rhea, usually the liveliest pe
