Archer’s POV

I stood in the middle of the empty café, the scent of roasted coffee beans thick in the air, mingling with the faint tang of cleaning chemicals.

My eyes were still fixed on him—Michael. My pulse thundered in my ears. It was as though I had been struck by lightning.

All this time, searching everywhere only to find him here, wiping down tables like he had never been gone.

The world tilted on its axis.

Michael glanced up briefly, those icy eyes meeting mine with the casual indifference of someone who had no idea how many sleepless nights I had spent imagining him dead, taken, or worse.

He looked healthy. He looked whole.

I forced myself to take a breath, but it felt like inhaling shards of glass.

“Come with me,” I said roughly to Harold.

My hand clenched around his arm as I steered him toward the back hallway, past the kitchen doors and into the narrow corridor lined with stacked boxes of coffee beans.

The moment the door swung shut behind us, I rounded on him.

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   When Love Turns On Me

Fernando's POVThe door closed behind me with a sound that felt final.Michael stood in the center of the room, his shoulders rigid, his hands clenched so tightly I could see the tension ripple through his arms. I took a slow step forward. “Michael—”He spun around so fast the air seemed to crack.“Where is he?” His voice was sharp, raw, vibrating with fury that hadn’t yet found a target strong enough to bleed. “Where is Santiago?”I didn’t answer immediately. I already knew that hesitation would cost me, but I also knew that the truth would cost me more. His eyes flicked over my body and my blood-stained sleeve, the faint bruise darkening my jaw, the stiffness in my posture. The realization hit him instantly and his face changed.Hope didn’t fade and it collapsed.“You didn’t get him,” he said quietly. The softness in his voice scared me more than his anger ever could.“No,” I admitted. “He escaped.”The silence that followed was deafening then Michael laughed. It was short, bitter

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Waiting Behind Locked Doors

Michael’s POVThe room felt too small for my thoughts.I paced from one end to the other, my footsteps sharp against the marble floor, back and forth like a caged animal. Every step echoed too loudly in my ears, every second stretching until it felt like torture. The walls were thick, reinforced, meant to protect, but all they did was trap me with the sounds of gunfire bleeding through stone and steel.Gunshots sounded in the distance. Not close enough for me to see, but not far enough for me to ignore.Ashley sat on the couch with Henry pulled close to her side. She had one arm wrapped around his shoulders, the other gently rubbing circles into his back. Henry’s face was pale, his small fingers clenched tightly in the fabric of her dress like letting go would send him spiraling into something worse. He was trying to be brave and that made it harder.Emilio stood by the door, unmoving, his gun held low but ready, his eyes sharp as he scanned the perimeter outside the window. He loo

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Ashes at the Altar

Fernando's POVThe moment Emilio led Michael away, the air around me turned cold.I wanted to chase them down the corridor, pull Michael into my arms, press my forehead to his and tell him this would end soon, that I would fix everything like I always did.But I didn’t because if I did, if I hesitated even for a second, Santiago would take more than a wedding from me.He would take everything.Gunfire ripped through the night again, closer now, sharper, more deliberate. The sound wasn’t chaotic or panicked, it was measured.I inhaled slowly, deeply, forcing the fury threatening to tear me apart back into its cage.“Get ready,” I ordered, my voice steady even as my pulse thundered.Marlo didn’t hesitate, he never did. Orders flowed instantly through the earpieces, his voice clipped and precise as he coordinated the perimeter teams. Mortis moved like a living shadow toward the eastern corridor, already anticipating where Santiago’s men would strike next. Nick came up beside me, silent

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Blood on White Roses

Fernando’s POVI hated this version of him.I hated the way Michael’s eyes had gone dark like someone had poured gasoline over a fire that had never fully gone out.I had seen that look once before, when he had thought though Andrew attempted to kill Ashley. Back then, rage had been the only thing anchoring him to life.It had almost destroyed him and I had sworn, on my soul, on my power, on everything I was, that I would never let him return to that place again.A gunshot cracked through the air, so loud and close it rattled the chandelier above us. Another burst followed, bullets slamming into reinforced walls and steel barriers. The sound echoed violently through the hall, transforming laughter and vows into screams and terror within minutes. My wedding day had been ruined by Santiago.I dragged in a sharp breath, forcing myself out of my spiraling thoughts. If I lost control, people would die and not just Santiago’s men.“Positions!” I shouted, my voice cutting through the noise

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   My World Turned Upside-down

Michael's POVAshley’s mouth opened to talk and in that single second, before any sound came out, I already knew my life was about to split cleanly down the middle.“Ashley,” Fernando warned again, his voice low and dangerous. “Don’t.”She doesn’t look at him, she only looked at me and that was when I knew she has already chosen.“Santiago is the one who kidnapped me,” she said, her voice shaking but firm. The world stopped and I don’t hear the gunfire anymore. I don’t hear the screaming servants or the shouted orders outside. All I heard was that sentence echoing in my skull like a gunshot fired inside my head.“What…?” I whispered.Henry shifted in my arms. "Michael?”I didn’t answer him, I couldn’t. My throat had closed completely, like my body was trying to stop any sound from coming out before I lose control entirely.Ashley kept going, because if she stopped now, she knew she won’t be able to continue.“He’s the one who orchestrated everything,” she says. “He’s been pretending

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Secrets Finally Spilled

Michael's POVThe gunfire doesn’t stop, it only grew louder and closer as if it was slowly advancing towards the small hall where we had gathered. Sharp cracks tore through the night air outside the safe house, and whatever illusion of safety this place once had was completely gone. The walls felt thinner now, fragile, like they could shatter at any second. My arms were locked tightly around Henry.I didn’t even remember moving him closer to me. One moment he was standing beside me Ashley and me, excited about the wedding, the next I had pulled him into my chest so hard his face was buried against my neck.He was shaking so badly and it hurt that I couldn't stop whatever was causing this attack.“Michael” he whispered, his small fingers clutching my jacket like it was the only thing keeping him from falling apart. “What’s happening?”I swallow, forcing myself to breathe slowly even though my heart was slamming violently against my ribs.“It’s okay,” I murmured, over and over, like a
