The Truth

Teresa's POV

I felt like I was floating in an ocean but that was impossible. The last thing I remember was running into my childhood home and then everything went dark. I tried to communicate with Talia but there was no response. I feel like I should be concerned but I'm not. I try to look around, only to see miles and miles of water. I look up to see more water and a light shining above. By the way I was breathing, I could not tell that I was completely submerged.

I swim towards the light. Popping my head out, I see a familiar couple sitting on the beach. They wave me over and without a second guess, I float on my back to them. The man walks into the water as I get closer. Picking me up and tickling me as we head towards the giggling woman.

She was absolutely beautiful. She had honey eyes that looked like they were sparkling, with or without the sun shining directly on her. Long curly hair that touched the sand, surrounding her as she just sat there laughing. I rub my eyes because I swear, she was glowing right now with her sun-kissed tan. Maybe I am just imagining this. Maybe this is all a beautiful dream that I don't want to wake up from.

"You can say that." the woman says looking at me.

"Excuse me." I say shocked that this woman responded to my thought and jump out of the man's arms.

"Camelia, you can't just read the child's mind before introducing yourself. I thought we talked about this before proceeding with your idea." the man said, giving me a small grin. "Teresa, I'm Kam and this is Camelia."

"Kam? I know a Kam. He's the Alpha of my pack." I look at this man and start to realize his features. Tall, muscular man. A dark chocolate beard that blended up to his hair. Grey smokey eyes and a charismatic smile. He was the younger version of Alpha Kam.

"I think she has an idea of who you are dear." I turn my head to Camelia as she speaks and then look at Kam. Camelia gets up and walks toward him. Standing beside him as he wraps his hand around her waist.

"Hold on. Are you…. are you, my alpha?" I don't know why I asked because I knew. I already knew what he was going to say.

"Yes, and I'm also your father." Those words. Anger started to make my blood boil. "You need to calm down Teresa. We know you are upset, and you have questions. Have I told you anything about who you are yet?"

"Yes and no." I grumbled. "You had to leave for a meeting tonight. But before you left, you pulled me and Beta Saul aside to let us know I was your daughter. That he would be training me to take over the pack as the new alpha."

Camelia looks at Alpha Kam with concern. "And he said nothing about me?"

"No ma'am. After that, I stormed out of the pack house and was then chased by Beta Saul." Alpha Kam's face looked like he was about to scream but Camelia placed her hand on his chest and they both started breathing in unison.

"We can't discuss that right now. My magic won't last long, and we need to tell her about who she is and where she comes from my love."

Puzzled by her words, I started to think, and it all clicked. "Mom?"
