“Oh my, it’s finally nice to meet the prodigy Elsa. I’m so proud of you child. I myself never went to Sheffield Academy neither did my father or the one before him, but to think it would finally be a girl to achieve such a fit.” Alpha Lucifer said, holding my hand gently to his.

His beta had taken me to one of the rooms in the castle, where Lucifer stood facing the window, a walking stick poised gracefully in his right hand. As soon as he saw me he walked up to me hugging me like we had known each other forever. He then commanded his beta to leave us, he motioned for me to have a seat.

“My dad, is he safe?.”

“Fortunately, the warden wasn't able to get hold of him, it seems he had already fled for his life.”

“The warden killed my mother in cold blood.”

“Oh, that’s not the story I heard. I did a background check on you. The only relation in the world you’ve is your dad, a criminal just like you, your bloodline is weak. So how can you be here?” Lucifer said, his facade suddenly dropping to show the pain on his face, he seemed quite bitter.

“I don’t know, I’m just a pawn in this game the gods have decided to play on us.” I said, not looking at his face. I didn’t want things to escalate, he didn’t care about my story, all he believed was that I wasn’t worthy to be here. He could end me if he wanted, I wasn't strong enough to face an alpha yet, that I was sure of.

“Despite your contempt, you’ve summoned me. What do you want, Alpha?” I said. I had to act calm and weak and show submission, that was the only way I could leave this room alive.

“I’ll keep in touch with you. Since you’re here in Sheffield, you’ll be useful, that's all that matters.” He said, finally walking out of the room. I could still hear the sound of his walking stick. I keep meeting scumbags like this, he’ll pay, they’ll all pay for the death of my mom.

I had suddenly found myself on the ground, the pain felt like hell, I could feel my own body eating itself up from the inside. I turned over, trying my best to withhold the scream that threatened to come out. I managed to hold onto the iron desk with my left hand, utilizing it to get up.

“Arhhh.” With steady steps I reached the door, my hand clutched tightly against my belly, I walked towards Salvatore’s office. I didn’t care any more, I needed those corpses or I would just eat him, I didn't mind, considering the type of man he was.

“Good day Brenda, I would like to meet the administrator.” I replied, my lips curling into a fake smile that didn't quite reach my eyes.

“That won’t be possible right now dear, the administrator has been out of his office for awhile now, he was in the company of Alpha Cain.” She replied.

I went out of the office and immediately initiated the mental link with him instead, it was easier to communicate that way.

Salvatore, where are you? I said through the mental link.

Shit! Elsa you freaked me out, look, i’m in an important meeting right now okay? He retorted, his arrogance evident in his tone.

I’m going to be at the lily path, you’ve just three minutes to meet me there. He was about to say something else but I had already ended the mental link.

I reached the lily path, one of the places in Sheffield academy, sanctuary of beauty. As much as I would like to admire and praise the place, I had to be alive to do it. From the corners Salvatore suddenly showed up.

“Bow.” I commanded him.

“Alpha.” He said, bending a knee

“I was starting to think that maybe it was all a crazy dream I had, since you never came back or communicated with me after that day.” His gaze lingered on me with thick desire.

“I need those corpses now.” I said, cutting to the chase.

“What for?”

“I have to consume werewolves, stop asking unnecessary questions or I might just eat you instead.” I said, my eyes flickering red for a moment.

“Okay okay, let’s go this way.” He said, turning to the right. We walked on for a few minutes, then we arrived at a small building, and he opened the door. I stepped in immediately, walking up to the first body I saw laying on the floor, I opened sheets, it was him. He looked so at peace now.

I didn’t know when I dropped a tear till it fell on his chapped lips. I believe he would have understood, he always treated me like a friend. I removed the cloth covering his corpse and feasted on it swiftly. I didn’t want to waste any time thinking of what I was doing. The planet is messed up, I had already achieved a lot of enemies from just being a student in Sheffield. In order to keep living and protect the ones I love, I need to get stronger. There were about nine more corpses remaining in the morgue.

Salvatore stood outside, I could feel the fear in him through the mind link, he was really terrified, I’m sure he thought of me as some monster now. It only took me ten minutes to clear the room, I was able to consume things much faster, I don't know where all the meat went to but it seemed like I had a bottomless pit in my belly since I got this ability. Although, I consumed meat faster in my werewolf form.

“Are you done here, Alpha?” Salvatore asked. He had been facing back since the beginning.

“Yes, I’m done.” I replied, getting up.

“It’s happening again.” I said, realizing what was about to happen to me.

“Salvatore, as your alpha, you’re obligated to protect me, I’m about to evolve again, this only happens to me when I get stronger. I’ll go through immense pain, and you’ve to be my watch guard, it has to be he..arghh” I shouted as I felt something split apart within me.

“I promise I’ll protect you, I don’t need an alpha command to do that.” He replied.

Salvatore turned into his werewolf form, it was indeed a sight to behold. His obsidian mane was nothing short of breathtaking as it flowed with the night's wind.. I didn’t know what pack or country he was from, but based on his enormous size, he is either an Estonian or Andovian. He stood tall and strong, Salvatore’s werewolf form was unique because his mane was black but every other part of his body was grey. Besides I’m the administrator there aren’t many people in the world that can beat me, he said through our mental link.

I sat beside the wall at the edge as my bones gradually fell apart, I could hear the cracks, shifts, the pain was great, would I be able to survive this? I asked myself. My joints twisted in abnormal ways. It wasn’t just physical, my mind felt like it was being torn apart, I felt the red leave my eye. It was my own blood. My hand suddenly turned, then reverted to human form. Then it was my legs.

The son of Constantine is coming this way…

I couldn’t hear much of what Salvatore was saying anymore but I did hear him mention Constantine what on earth would he be coming towards here for. I was slowly going into oblivion. I could feel it, I was dying.

ELSA’S POVRodriguez looked flustered. The expression on his face revealed his embarrassment. His lips parted while making a statement but the words stuck on his tongue.“Anyways, be more careful with your lucid thoughts next time.”His hand met his hair as he scratched while looking elsewhere.“But what is this? You can hear my thoughts now?”“Yes, whenever I choose to. I can communicate telepathically also. The pack rules bind you and you will suffer if you violate them.”I turned to leave, and I had already taken a few steps when I noticed a looming shadow that stood above me. I turned back already knowing who followed me.“Elsa.”“Alex, you always pull up at the most unexpected time.”His lips curled in an elated smile as he got closer, taking me in for a warm embrace. It was the same feeling I felt every time I was with him, each time I wrapped my arms around him, there was this feeling in my heart, like it shouldn't end. But it always did. Incidentally, after thinking about thi

“You finally figured it out. It must have been a hard puzzle to solve.” Ha answered, his sarcasm obvious in his reply.“I told you to watch your back, no one humiliates me that way.” He got up from where he was, forming another fight stance.“So what is this, revenge?” I asked, stepping closer. Rodriguez was no match for me, but I liked his resilience; he wasn’t one to give up easily.“How about a deal Rodriguez?”He raised the corner of his eye. He stared at me for a while. After what felt like decades he responded“What kind of deal?”“It’s simple, if I lose this fight I’ll do whatever you say.”“No. That won’t be necessary, I intend on killing you here.” He replied, waving my words away.“Yes, you could end my life if you want.”“And what’s in it for you?” he shifted his leg, adjusting his stance to look stern.“You’ll work for me.” “Girl, you have some serious guts. You'll meet the gods today.”“Are you afraid to accept?”“Hahaha, you know what? I accept your request. This just

“Isn’t that the level four student who was angry when you turned him down?” It was Oliver who spoke and he just revealed some interesting information while looking at Isabella.“I feel sorry for him, imagine getting turned down by Isabella,” Brad said, laughing. Richard bumped his shoulders saying“Oh come on, stop messing around, you know how much of a jerk Athelstan was to Isabella.” “What did he do Isabella?” I asked. I didn't want to look too interested in the topic, so I wandered carefreely.Isabella’s face contorted in an unsettling way as she recalled the story. “Athelstan approached me in the first week of school, he professed love to me stating it was love at first sight, he said he could feel our connection… that I was his mate.”Everyone fell silent as Isabella narrated her ordeal with Athelstan.“I didn’t want to sound rude, so I just told him that I wasn’t ready for that, I also emphasized that I was a fresher. Athelstan didn't take this lightly, he felt his ego was b

“What the hell, that was so gruesome.”“She would have just targeted the eyes.”“I hate to be that beast.”“I think it was Oliver that killed the beast.”The students had a lot of opinions about the fight, especially the ghastly death of the monster. Many were surprised by the unorthodox method I chose, to kill the monster. But I didn’t really care about that, I was just glad it was over.“That was a good one… wouldn’t you agree with me, class?”It seemed mica had a few things to say as she got up to her feet.“Agree with you? We almost died Ser, this was definitely beyond a Ravage tier monster.”“Yes. It most certainly was. For those of you looking to work for the guilds and become adventurers, do you think you’ll decide the tier of the monster you’ll encounter while in there? Werewolves have only covered fifteen percent of the Elshire forest, with so many mysterious and unknown creatures yet to be discovered.”He paused, his gaze turned to me suddenly, it was as though he was tryin

“Oliver, it's right behind you!” I screamed out, to Oliver. He jumped up avoiding the strike to the leg delivered by the giant spider.Just minutes ago we had discussed our strengths to devise ways to end it quickly. Oliver and Benjamin were placed as our offensives considering they were stronger.“I want to be on the offensive too.” I said out loud, deciding not to be quiet.“What? You wanna get yourself killed?” Benjamin replied, his eyes seemed to be weighing me. “Besides, we will really need you guys to back us up on the defensive.” He added.“Thelma, be on the look out for the weak spot, you might notice while we are attacking.” Oliver said, releasing what looked like a trident. It wasn’t a lycan weapon but I could tell it was lethal. The spider had already revealed itself fully now. It was tall, reaching half the height of the colosseum. “Woahh!” Mica exclaimed, dodging a web that came from its mouth. It roared in anger, going straight for her again. Oliver rushed in with his

“What did you just say?” Daniel replied with a raised brow.“I mean… I don’t know if I’m strong enough to take him out.”“That is your problem. Do not disappoint the alpha.”“What if I get killed or caught doing this task?”“Then you should be proud of dying for your Alpha. But if you get caught, you know better than to mention his involvement in it. I wish you the best of luck child, try not to die yet. You interest me.” He replied heading to the stairway.Great, now I’m tasked to kill an innocent person. I can’t do that. It just makes me part of the system I fight against. I didn’t want to follow the stairway so I used the balcony again, bringing myself all the way down. Jumping and sliding down different platforms till I was back in the hallway I took off from earlier.I just had a few minutes more before my lecture, I sprinted as fast as I could, I left the castle grounds in seconds, the lecture wasn’t held in one of the many spaces in the school, rather it was held in the school
