ZAIRE'S POV

"I said I was sorry, man. What more do you want me to do?"I said to Jasper, my patience already thinning with him.

I don't know how many times he wanted me to fucking apologize?

"You fucking hit me man and I had to go home and explain to my father why I have a fucking black eye." Jasper said angrily"Do you have any idea how fucking unbearing that old man is?"

"I get it alright? I'm sorry."

"Not so fucking easily, boy. You are going to have to make it up to me."

"Fine. What do you want."

Jasper smirked, running a hand over his dump curls."Those Louis Vuitton kicks of yours I like."

"X480 Fiber optic?"

"Yea---"

"Hell no!"

"Then fuck off."Jasper said ,turning towards his locker. We were just done showering after practice ,preparing to head home.

"Ah come on Jas, you know I can't give you those man. You can choose any kicks you want. Not those ones."

"Yeezy 1 prototype?"

"You can easily buy them yourself."

"I can't. You know after that bonfire fight, I have

  • End Game   Chapter 10: Monday fever

SEBASTIAN'S POV I was woken up by the sound of my alarm going off on the dresser next to my bed. I groaned, throwing my hand out to shut it off. It was finally Monday, and after the horrible weekend I had, I couldn't feel any more fucking depressed. Mondays sucked. And so was school, especially for someone like me who was still nursing a fucking heartache. But that didn't matter though because it was time to wake up and get read for school regardless ,unless I wanted to deal with Ms. Kate Wilson herself. Mommy dearest-she would have my head before I even think of skipping school. I reluctantly pushed myself off the bed ,feeling the soft fur of the mat under my bare feet. I could hear the crushing of waves outside from the private beach that was basically the backyard of my house. That was the life of Kingmoore Court for you-expensive, beautiful, and nature friendly. The sunrise and sunset were the best part. At least they usually were. But today, the sunrise made my chest hurt.

  • End Game   Chapter 9: Crashout

ZAIRE'S POV It was Sunday noon. The sun was out, the air cool with a gentle breeze that carried the scent of newly cut grass and blooming flowers. Trees swayed lightly, their leaves still young and a soft shade of green, almost glowing when the sun hit them. The sky was clear, the kind of soft blue that only shows up in early spring. Everything outside felt alive. Fresh. Peaceful. But then there was me. A complete contrast to the beautiful day outside. I felt so boxed in, demoralized, and numb as fuck as I floated lifelessly in the center of our homepool. Obviously, I wasn't dead, but I might as well have been because that was how I felt in that moment....dead. My dad, Gloria, and her daughters were at church , leaving me home alone since Miss Maeve wasn't working on Sundays. My eyes were closed as my mind kept looping mercilessly around the events that took place on Friday night at Caleb's party. I left my room thinking that maybe a little swim could help clear my mind, but

  • End Game   Chapter 8: The first real taste

SEBASTIAN’S POV I let go of Zaire’s wrist and moved both of my hands up to cup his cheeks. Surprisingly, Zaire didn’t try to fight me anymore. Instead, he started to move his lips, slow and timid like he was scared of something. I slightly tilted his face, desperate to deepen the kiss as far as I could. I wanted to taste every inch of his mouth. After all these years of craving him, I needed at least a sliver of satisfaction before this was over because this was probably the first and last time I’d ever get to kiss him.I sucked on his tongue with desperation, dragging a sound out of him—a moan—soft but deep, the sexiest thing I’ve ever heard in my life. My fingers tightened around his face, a muffled groan vibrating out of my chest as my dick twitched inside my jeans. But unfortunately for me, that was the exact moment that forced Zaire back to reality. Like I knew he would, he shoved me so hard I stumbled back. Then he tried to punch me, but I was quick to grab hold of his wrist.

  • End Game   Chapter 7: Drawn to him again

SEBASTIAN’S POV "So you are a football player too, and you are still in high school?"Kai asked me as he leaned further into me. I let my arm drape loosely around his shoulder. I grinned, looking down at him."Yeah. What? Does me being a high schooler turn you off?" "What? No. I don't care if you are still in high school, not when you look like this." "And how do I look?" Kai dragged his eyes over my chest before licking his lips. "Dude have you seen yourself?" I chuckled, feigning to acknowledge that I was actually a fucking gorgeous guy. I was never one to brag. "I mean, I ain't too bad." "Ain't too bad? Boy, are you kidding me?" I laughed, my eyes involuntarily falling across the room where Zaire was pressed in between the girl he had been with this whole party and a guy I recognized from his team on a long worn brown couch. Since the minute I arrived there at Caleb's and saw that he was there too, my eyes had never stopped trying to find him though I had been very

  • End Game   Chapter 6: The Wrong Reaction

ZAIRE'S POV The drive to Dillion's friend's place felt longer than it actually was. Maybe because my head wasn't fucking quiet. The music was blasting out the windows-Reggie had control of the aux, which meant loud trap music and him drumming on the dashboard like he was in the damn band.I just stared out the window, jaw tight, mind running laps I didn't fucking sign up for.Dillion's friend-Caleb or Cameron or whatever the hell his name was-was throwing a "pre-draft send-off." He'd just gotten the call from an NFL team two days ago which was fucking great news for any football player who had a dream to go pro.I could just imagine how freaking happy he was. That was my dream too, you know. Going pro. But with the way we ended last season, the dream seemed pretty far-fetched at the moment. Unless we got our shit together, stopped bitching around, and actually played fucking football for once. And with the new coach? I liked to believe things were finally going to change. Maybe this
