“Daven! You fucking bastard!”

They were standing in front of Daven’s car and Abigail was hoping for a miracle otherwise she was going to bolt. But when she remembered he knew her name and probably more than that, she focused on praying to the moon goddess.

Then Liam's voice boomed from behind them. As much as she hated being in his presence, it was a relief that someone was coming to save her.

Liam was ready to fight a second time. He appeared from his car and marched towards Daven, who was holding Abigail's hand. The sight made him madder.

He glared at her. “I can't believe this, Abigail. Are you truly just moving from one pure wolf to the other?”

The question took her off guard. Abigail knew Liam had a knack for misunderstanding things. It was the reason they never worked out. But this was beyond it. She never thought he would accuse her of social climbing.

Daven enjoyed seeing Liam that way. Mad and losing control.

“You haven't changed, Liam,” he said. “Always blaming others for your mistakes.”

Even though Abigail hated Daven at his point and would very much prefer to have her hand cut away from his, she agreed with his statement. Liam always felt he was right and everyone was at fault.

“Just the same way you're blaming your father for selling his company to our pack.”

The statement made Abigail's heart freeze. Was he Alpha Makael's son?

She had always known that her former boss had a son. But she didn't know him. Mia had told her he was abroad and hated wolves. Was this the son?

Her heart began to race.

She didn't want any more complications. Words were going round that Alpha Makael was blaming her for his company death after it skyrocketed following Ethan's purchase, especially with the news that she was secretly dating Liam.

“That company is mine,” Daven declared with a false confidence Abigail had come to realise he carried around. “I'm going to get it back, Liam. Just like I've got your girl.”

Abigail yanked her hand away. “I'm not his girl,” she said..”whatever is going on between the two of you…I don't want to be involved.”

Liam's eyes fell on her now. Abigail looked beautiful..even more beautiful than the picture Daven had posted. And it made him realise how much he missed her and wanted her back..

“She's my girl,” he maintained. “And you can't have her.”

Daven grabbed her hand again. “She's a hybrid. She belongs to no one. I paid for her dinner and I can have her for the night.”

Liam bit his lips and faced Abigail. “You should have told me you were hungry and broke, Abby.” He returned his gaze back to Daven. “I'll pay it back. Just let her go.”

He didn't let go of her hand even when Abigail tried to pull it out. “You don't get to keep her all to yourself.”

Abigail fought back her tears as they argued about their ownership of her while she stood there. Now, she regretted coming out in the first place. She was between the devil and the red sea all because she wanted to have a night of solo fun.

She didn't want to go with Daven and her decision was resolved even more after learning that he is the son of her former boss. She wasn't a prostitute. She was only a hardworking girl who had stumbled upon a good cash.

Sadly, money wasn't enough in werewolf city. It was the blood that mattered.

And hers screamed hybrid, screamed commodity.

“I won't let you go anywhere with her,” Liam maintained. “She's my girlfriend and we're not together now because we had a minor issue. Isn't that right, babe?”

Abigail had to agree. That was the only Daven would let her be.

But Daven laughed. “And who's gonna approve of that? Your father? I think he's too busy preparing for your wedding. Everyone knows what hybrids are good for.”

Abigail wanted to spit on his face, snap out of control, and yell unprintable things at him. But she held her cool. Like Daven had said over ten times, she was a hybrid. And the justice system didn't favour her kind..

“Abigail is not a prostitute,” Liam explained. “You have to let go off her hand and find someone else.”

A playful smile appeared on Daven's face. He was enjoying the show.

“You don't get to decide who I fuck, Liam.” He pulled Abigail to his side, firming her against his shoulder. “She makes me crave sex and I'll have it with her.”

Liam stepped forward, unhandling their hands. Abigail tried to break through in vain. It made Liam more angry that he was holding her tightly to himself.

When the hand wasn't budging, his rounded fist reached for his jaw. Daven's jaws crashed against each other. He cried and as soon as his hand was released from Abigail's, he pulled her to his side.

“Stay away from Abigail. Otherwise, the next time, I'll be doing more than this.”

Daven recovered from the fight and staggered to a standing position. “Nothing’s going to stop me, you should be busy preparing for your new sibling. Isn't your mom back with your father?”

His chuckle was a lure this Liam couldn't avoid. But the news caught Abigail off guard. This afternoon when he had talked to her and Bianca was there, she hadn't known Bianca was already carrying his baby

It disgusted her to think so.

Had Ethan truly moved on? She wondered. Was that why he had something important to tell her? Ethan had told her that he had a complicated issue with Bianca that he never wanted to sort. That was what he had told her.

But he was already having a kid with his ex, barely a month after their break up. She reeled.

“You know what!” She screamed at the top of her lungs. “I don't give a damn about any of you. I'll go home and I don't want to see your faces again.”

She started towards the road. Daven tried to stop her but Liam threw him a punch. Abigail didn't bother to look back at the two men fighting.

It was enough that she was just learning that Ethan made a fool of her. How was she going to deal with seeing him everyday and knowing he was about to be a father and was back to the woman he claimed to have loved?

Ethan took Abigail's hand.“I really want to show you in every way that you're my choice,” he said. “So, I'll stay with you tonight.”“And tomorrow?” She asked, teasingly. “Every other night…till forever.”It felt good hearing that. Ethan figured he would deal with Bianca's problem by morning of the next day. He was so sure that she wasn't pregnant and after the test result had confirmed that, his would send her away, a mistake he wouldn't make again. He pulled her to himself, just to taste the sweetness of her lips. “I've missed doing this,” he confessed. “I've missed your laughs. You have no idea.”Abigail slapped his chest with mock annoyance. “You left me all alone.”He wrapped her with his arms. “I'm sorry, my pigeon.”“Pigeon.”“‘cause you're cute and smallish.”Abigail smiled. “It was you, wasn't it? The person who did my job.”“Stayed all night for you.”Her smile widened. Then she raised her head. “Oh my gosh! It was you. You sent me that money.”Ethan didn't affirm but hi

  • Forbidden love: The Alpha is mine    Instructions

Bianca's heart had been racing erratically ever since Ethan requested for a proof of pregnancy, and worse, Alex, his over keen assistant was right there with her to ensure she didn't doctor the result. She sat there, hoping for an escape. If Ethan found out that her pregnancy claim was a lie, he would be mad at her deception and lock her out. She played with her fingers nervously while Alex sat there, waiting for her to go in. He had received clear instructions from his boss to follow through the process. And seeing how nervous she was, he knew she was hiding something. But for the life of him, he would never understand why his boss had decided to go back to his ex wife. Alpha Ethan had been barely alive until he found Abigail. He had seen how much he changed and he didn't care about the age difference. And the past few days without her had been torturous for him.He could never understand Alpha Ethan.“Why are you here anyway?” Bianca barked at him. “Isn't Ethan coming?”She was des

  • Forbidden love: The Alpha is mine    she can't remember

Ethan held her hand and moved dangerously close to her. She felt his warm breath against her ears. It spoke of burning desires, a call that awakened hers. But Abigail wanted so badly to resist, yet, she wanted more badly to give in, to forget about everything even for the moment and fall into the arms of the man she was still obviously in love with. “Why are you doing this to me —to us?” Ethan's voice, laced with deep desire, croaked into her ear.She shut her eyes and held her breath. With him so close, it was difficult to decide, to remain angry, or to say no.She moaned with need. Even her body couldn't deny that she missed him, and more than ever, she wanted him, yet there and now.Ethan took cue from her moan and found her lips. They crashed into each other, each touch, a reminder of the passion they ignited in one another and a testament that they were meant for each other. Abigail didn't remember Bianca and her pregnancy and Ethan didn't think of Daven and what relationship h

  • Forbidden love: The Alpha is mine    Too late to regret

It was too late for regrets, Abigail knew that. So she didn't apologise. She glared at him like how she wished she could glare at every wolf who had called her a hybrid or looked down on her. He was bearing the brunt because he couldn't mind his business.Despite the gravity of her words and the way it made him feel initially, Daven realised he wasn't really mad. It soothed him, strangely.Wasn't it the truth?Besides, he had never had never had anyone speak to him that way. Even abroad, the ladies always kept their thoughts to themselves because of what they could gain from him. And back here, he was the Alpha's son.“You insulted me first,” Abigail declared. “Do you not realise it? You don't respect my decision because I am a hybrid.”Daven nodded. She was right. He had overstepped. He started the car and took the opposite lane, returning back to the office. Abigail didn't want this ride home. She didn't want to be in the space of someone who constantly ridiculed her existence. Wa

  • Forbidden love: The Alpha is mine    Office fight

It was a relief to Abigail. For one, she had thought she had been set up. And she really needed a new card after Daven rudely broke hers. She was actually on her last cent and she knew how excruciatingly difficult it was to get a card at the bank.Well, unless your blood screamed pure wolf. She could afford to frown now.“You made me beg for nothing.”It was infuriating being around someone who enjoyed making fun of others. But for now, Abigail kept her cool. She needed him to help her sort her card issues. After then, she would tell him to stay the hell away from her. She wasn't a hybrid that needed some pure wolf’s shadow to navigate her way around. She had been doing just fine before every one of them.Daven chuckled and led the way. “I didn't know you had a tear in you,” he said as he turned towards the bank. He owed Abigail a new card. But that was now really the reason he had decided to help her. Truth was, he couldn't stop thinking about her and desiring to hold her. And his

  • Forbidden love: The Alpha is mine    Feeling Proud

Daven held the steering, feeling proud. He had the woman he wanted, seated beside him. And even though her face was moulded into a scowl, a win was a win.Abigail sat quietly, wondering where Daven was taking her to. The day was bright and a public place was a huge no. She didn't want to be in another scandal. Mia had told her straight. She would abandon her. She couldn't even survive another scandal, being looked at as she walked the street and hated by even the unloved - the hybrids. She faced Daven. “Lunch break is thirty minutes,” she reminded him. He probably had never worked, she thought. And had no regard for time. “Where are you taking me to?”Daven flashed a smile that grated on her nerves. “Chill. Will ya? And don't worry, it's my company. No one can sack you.”“It's not yours if you're not CEO,” she shot quietly. She understood boys like Daven. Always having things done for them their whole life and even too lazy right now as a grown adult to reason with their brains. The
