Sebastian's POV I still couldn't believe that this was the reason they had called for a meeting. "You came here just to find out why I was housing a guest?" I asked again, looking round at all of them, their faces cast in shadows from the dim lighting in the room. The large, circular meeting chamber was in silence for a few minutes untill one of the men spoke up. "Alpha, you must understand that…" "Yes, exactly make me understand why you would march in so early in the morning and asked me why I had a guest in my house. What sort of madness is this?" My voice had increased gradually as I spoke so that the last part of my speech was shouted out. I so badly wanted to hit something. My seat was slightly higher than every other one in the room and it had our insignia, a wolf's head carved on its back. As I stared down at the elders, seated in a semicircle in front of me, I wondered how old men would think to act so much like young women, running to the palace to get confirmation f
Susanna's POVI watched the pair of them disappear into the house and then decided to continue the training. Or rather, continue exercising, seeing as the trainer wasn't here anymore. I continued the stretches, my mind racing from one point to another. I was so curious about what the council members had showed up so early and uninvited to discuss. It couldn't be a rogue attack, could it? I knew it wasn't, though, because Thorne would have come running to interrupt the training session instead of walking. What could it be then? There were several other matters concerning the pack that needed to be discussed among the pack leaders but I could barely think of one that would warrant such an early visit. After pondering for a while, I chose to leave the matter instead thinking back to the encounter I had had with Sebastian not too long ago. It would be foolhardy to try to ignore the sparks I had felt between us but I didn't want that. I was fresh from divorce for godess' sake, I should
Susanna's POV The next morning I was eager. Not excited; just keen to prove myself, to prove that I was an Alpha wolf and that I was strong and determined to get what I wanted. I was going to push and make sure that I work hard at every instruction that Sebastian would give. I got up early and got to the training ground, wanting to do a light exercise on my own to get myself warmed up. I started with neck rolls and then a full body shake to reset my muscles. I remember doing this regularly when I was much younger and hadn't gotten my wolf. It was like I was starting over again. As soon as those gloomy thoughts start to flood my mind, I shut them out. I needed only positive things today. I didn't need anything negative. I moved to my breathing exercises, breathing in the scent of dew and pine from the trees around. It was still quite early, the mist hung thick in the air and the sun had not risen yet. Just a few long minutes till dawn. Sebastian would be joning me soon. Aft
Susanna's POV All the excitement that had built up from the moment Sebastian had agreed to train me up till this morning had now evaporated leaving no trace behind. After the first practice, I felt even worse than I had felt the night I lost my wolf. Sebastian was trying to be optimistic, telling me that things would get better with time and that I was pushing myself too hard but I didn't have any desire to continue with the trainings. Sebastian was a good teacher and once or twice I felt that this was actually working but in the end, I was defeated, crushed by the weight of my doubts and fears. I didn't want to think of what would happen if I didn't get my wolf back, I just trudged back into the house after the training session. I was going to wash up and then look for something to occupy my mind. Perhaps a good book would do to distract me from my troubles. I dragged myself all the way to my room. "Miss Anna, you're back, how was the training session?" Kiera asked, her hand
Sebastian's POV She sank to floor before me and buried her face in her hands."It's no use! It's not working." She said, anger lacing every syllable. I had expected this to happen. I knew it wasn't going to be easy but he wasn't going to give up on her just yet. This was only the begining.“Hush Susanna," I said in my most assured tone, crouching so that I could be level with her. "I'm the teacher here, I get to say whether it's working or not." I continued. She looked up at me, surprised. Her bright blue eyes were wet with tears. I hated to see her like this. An idea came to me in that moment."Let's Spar. Nothing serious, I just want you to learn to listen to your body again.”She stared at me for a few seconds. I smiled encouragingly."Okay…" She said weakly, wiping her face with the back of her arm like a child. It was cute. "Come on, stand up, we are not giving up that easily, there are some bad guys out there whose arses need kicking."She let out a giggle and a snort at the
Susanna's POV It was a week after my kidnapping and Sebastian had finally agreed to proceed with the first phase of the plan. I was to begin training to get my wolf and alpha powers back! Sebastian had agreed to teach me himself and I wanted to start immediately but was turned down. I had argued that I was already fit to begin training days before but he had insisted I remained on bed rest till the doctor was completely certain that I was well again. That period was not very fun for me as I was left, most of the time, on my own to muse about the things I had lost to Fiona. On the plus side, I got to imagine how best to go about my revenge against her which was very satisfying. But when I was not preoccupied by vengeful thoughts, I was left to brood over my lost wolf. Was she in there just waiting for a force to get her out or was she gone completely. I certainly hoped it wasn't the latter. To keep my sanity, I spent the achingly long hours by reading books. It seemed that the
