CHAPTER THIRTY EIGHT: Do Not Utter A Single Word

"Are you sure it's fine for me to go along with you?"

"Of course, it's fine," I replied confidently as I steered the steering to the left side while driving to A&R airport.

"Okay, since you said so, then I will believe you," she said, and I chuckled softly at her words. "But have you ever met your dad? No, I meant Mary's dad, about what his wife told you the other day."

May's question makes my stomach churn as I remembered what Lydia said the other day about me being her husband's illegitimate child, which he had from an affair years ago. I felt a mix of anxiety and curiosity as I really got a lot of questions to ask him since it looks like he was the one who brought me home.

"No, I haven't, but I’ll do that immediately I'm back from this trip. I really have a lot of questions to ask him."
