Chapter Ten

A wedding the next weekend!

Who the hell just fixes a wedding? I hadn’t even gotten over what I went through in the hands of the brutal Logan D’Nores, and now I am going to be tied and dragged through the aisle to the altar? My head began to spin at the thought of it.

Yes, I knew I was going to get married to Logan, but definitely not this soon. I had thought that the stretch of the wedding would give me ample time to strategize on how to carry out my revenge against him for the murder of my brother.

I could still hear Leah, yelling at the top of her voice as usual, as she and Logan argued over his “rash” decision.

“You can’t be fucking serious, Logan! Are you drunk?!”

“I am fucking serious,” Logan’s baritone voice vibrated through the wall, calm but threatening in a way that makes me shiver in fear. “And I am not drunk.”

“I can’t plan a grand wedding in a couple of days, Logan. The girl has not even been able to select her own damn panties!” Leah was beyond exasperated.
