The trip

Seraphine stared at Clayton's back. He held her hands as they walked upon the streets, and although he occasionally ordered her to speed up, at the end, he maintained his pace with hers.

Because of doing at least this much, she decided to stay silent and not retort to all those ridiculous insults of his.

"Where do you want to go?" he questioned.

Seraphine wanted to do much more things than just pick up the supplies, and although she was sad that the one accompanying her was Clayton, she had to make do with the situation.

"I am hungry," she responded.

She wasn't exactly hungry, but it was that she wanted to try eating out. This was the first time she was getting the chance to do so after transmigrating to here.

"You," he impatiently expressed, "Didn't you eat enough at home?"

After that, he turned his head back to stare at her, and she merely blinked her eyes at him.
