Prologue"Lou! Lou." The familiar voice keeps echoing in his head. He is drenched in sweat, jerking wildly on the bed, trying hard not to go to where his subconsciousness is leading him to. Chapter TwoNaTHaLieMy eyes widen in fear and my heart thumps widely in my chest as I watch the scene unfolding before me. Who are these people and what do they want from me? These are the questions that run through my mind with no answer. The guy with knife walks to a car parked a few feet away and settles in the driver's seat while the guy covering my mouth removes his hand after shooting a warning glare my way. Chapter FourNaTHaLieWrapping my blanket around me tighter, I toss in my bed for the umpteenth time. There is no use trying, I don't think I can sleep with so much on my mind. I need to clear my head and there is only one way to do that. I walk out of my room, making my way to a room across the hallway, it is a small studio I designed with some help from Betsy. I have something like this back at home and I like to spend a lot of time there especially when there is a lot on my mind. In a way, this small studio comforts me. Inside the studio are some blank canvas, paints, drawing books, easels, brushes, charcoals, and some of my old paintings. Chapter FiveNathalieI slump on a bench under some trees with shades against sunlight feeling utterly exhausted. Lou stretches a bottle of chilled water to me as he takes his seat beside me silently.
