LOGINEPISODE 1 – PART 2: “The Cold King of the Tower”
Clara Second day. Same heels, same ID, same anxiety. Pero this time, mas maaga ako ng trenta minutos. “Good morning! Ready na ako sa lahat ng posibleng kalamidad,” biro ko habang inaayos ang lamesa ko. “May tissue, may extra kape, at may dasal.” She laughed. “Iba ka talaga! Pero seryoso, ingat ka kay Mr. Steele. Kanina pa raw siya dumating.” Of course. The man probably doesn’t even sleep. “I see you’re consistent,” sabi niya, dry tone, pero may kakaibang lambing sa dulo ng tinig. Napayuko ako. “Sorry, sir. Hindi na mauulit.” “See that it doesn’t.” Then he walked away, leaving me frozen in place. ⸻ Alexander There was something strange about Clara Villanueva. In a world where people bowed to him, she tripped in front of him—twice. In a place where everyone spoke to please him, she apologized with sincerity that didn’t sound rehearsed. He sat behind his desk, opening a report, but his mind was elsewhere. Why do I remember the way she looked up? Those eyes… too honest. He shook his head. Emotions were distractions. And distractions cost billions. “Sir?” It was Joanna again, standing by the door. “The finance department reports are ready. The new assistant compiled them for you personally.” “She did?” “Yes, sir. She stayed an hour late last night.” For the first time that morning, Alexander raised an eyebrow. “Send them in.” Joanna placed the folder on his desk, then quietly left. He skimmed through the papers—organized, detailed, no typos. Even the footnotes were properly formatted. A small smile tugged at his lips. “Interesting.” “Ha?! Ako? Anong ginawa ko?” “Hindi ko alam, pero mukha siyang… kalmado? Which is weird. Usually mukha siyang galit sa mundo.” Huminga ako nang malalim. Okay, Clara. He was sitting behind his sleek black desk, eyes fixed on his monitor. “Sir, you called for me?” tanong ko, halos pabulong. “Sit.” He tapped his pen twice on the table, then looked at me. “I reviewed the finance documents you organized.” “Ah… if there’s something wrong po, I’ll fix it right away.” “There’s nothing wrong,” he interrupted. “In fact, they’re better than the last set my team submitted.” I blinked. “Oh. Thank you, sir.” “That’s not a compliment,” sabi niya. “It’s an expectation. Maintain that quality.” Medyo na-off guard ako. Compliment ba ‘yon o warning? “Yes, sir. I’ll do my best.” He studied me for a moment. “Do you always apologize for everything?” “Po?” “You’ve said sorry five times since you entered the room.” Napakamot ako ng ulo. “Habit na po siguro. Hirap na mawala.” “Well,” he said, leaning back on his chair, “try replacing it with confidence.” Napatingin ako sa kanya. “Confidence?” “Yes. People who are truly good at what they do don’t need to apologize for existing.” “Thank you, sir,” mahina kong sabi. He nodded once. “You may go.” ⸻ Alexander After she left, Alexander found himself… distracted. He stared at the door where Clara exited. There was a lightness in the air—something unfamiliar. He pressed a hand against his temple. “Get it together,” he muttered. “She’s just an employee.” Pero nang bumalik siya sa trabaho, he caught himself glancing at the glass window separating his office from the admin section. Clara was there—focused, biting her lip as she typed. Every now and then, she tucked her hair behind her ear, the movement small but oddly… grounding. He didn’t notice Joanna standing beside him. “Sir?” He blinked. “What is it?” “You’ve been staring out there for two minutes.” He frowned. “I was thinking about quarterly reports.” Joanna smiled knowingly. “Of course, sir.” ⸻ Clara By lunchtime, halos mabaliw ako sa dami ng work. And there he was—nakaupo, seryoso, pero ang mga mata niya ay parang may tinitingnang malayo. He looked… tired. For a second, our eyes met. Through the glass. Agad akong umatras, kunwari busy. Pero ramdam ko—he saw me. ⸻ Alexander He saw her looking. He should’ve. But instead, he just sat there, letting the moment linger. Those eyes—warm, curious, unguarded—met his cold gray ones through the barrier of glass. And for the first time in years, Alexander felt something move inside him. Not annoyance. Not anger. Something softer. Dangerous. He clenched his jaw and forced himself to stand. “Focus, Alexander,” he muttered. “She’s just a staff.” But even as he said it, he knew it was already too late. “Sir?” “This contains the upcoming project files. Deliver it to the finance team first thing tomorrow.” Kinuha ko agad. “Yes, sir.” He nodded. Then, after a beat, he added, “Be careful going home. It’s raining outside.” Napatigil ako. Did he just… care? “Thank you, sir,” mahina kong sabi. Be careful. ⸻ Alexander As the elevator doors closed, Alexander caught a glimpse of Clara running through the rain outside—her hands over her head, laughing as she tried to shield herself. He didn’t realize he was smiling until Joanna spoke behind him. “Something amusing, sir?” “Nothing,” sagot niya, mabilis. He turned toward the window again, watching the rain blur the lights of the city. For the first time in years, the world outside his glass tower didn’t look so lonely. Part 3 of episode 1 will be posted later. Stay tune and enjoy eeading everyone! Hindi kona po kasi ma edit or ma delete kay hindi pwede.EPISODE 3 – PART 3: “Late Night Confessions”ClaraThe office was eerily quiet, bathed in the soft glow of overhead lights. Most employees had already gone home, but I stayed late, determined to finish the report Alexander had asked for.“Almost done…” I muttered to myself, rubbing my tired eyes.A shadow moved near the doorway. “Still here?”I jumped. “Alexander! Uh… yes, sir. I wanted to finish the report.”He stepped inside, his presence commanding yet… strangely gentle in the quiet office.“You could’ve gone home,” he said, leaning against the desk. “Why stay this late?”I shrugged, nervously fiddling with the pen in my hand. “I… wanted to make sure everything was perfect.”He studied me, eyes sharp yet unreadable. “Perfection, huh? That’s dangerous.”⸻AlexanderShe looked exhausted but determined, fingers trembling slightly as she typed. She’s still trying. Even n
EPISODE 3 – PART 1: “Playful Tension”ClaraThe next morning, I tried to psych myself up: Okay, Clara. You survived the coffee disaster. You survived the spreadsheet crisis. You can survive today. As I walked into the office, Mara waved frantically. “You won’t believe it—Sir Alexander is in a mood today. Better watch out!”I froze. “Mood?”“Yes! But… kind of playful? Dangerous playful,” she whispered, eyes wide.I gulped.Dangerous playful sounded like a category I didn’t want to survive, yet somehow I couldn’t look away.⸻AlexanderAlexander Steele strode into the office with his usual aura of calm authority—but there was a subtle curve to his lips that hinted at mischief. He scanned the room, eyes falling on Clara immediately. She’s early again. Predictable, but… good.He tilted his head, silently observing her as she walked past, papers in hand, coffee in the other. Something about her slight stumble—it wasn’t clumsiness. No, it was… human. Warm. Alive. He smirked. This is going
EPISODE 3 – PART 2: “Close Quarters, Closer Hearts”ClaraThe next morning, I arrived at Steele Global Enterprises, determined to keep my balance—literally and figuratively.Mara waved at me from across the lobby. “Good luck, Clara! Today is… unpredictable.”I groaned. “Why do I feel like every day is unpredictable here?”Mara shrugged. “Because Mr. Steele exists.”And just like that, my stomach did a little flip.⸻AlexanderAlexander entered the office, crisp and sharp as always. But today, he was in a meticulous mood—every detail of the office aligned, his tie perfectly straight. His eyes, however, found Clara almost immediately. She’s early. Again. And still… flustered. He smirked faintly. He knew the kind of effect he had on people—but with her, it was different. He didn’t want control… he wanted curiosity, attention, even trust.⸻Clara (first-person)I barely made it to my desk before Mara whispered, “Sir Alexander is… right there.”My heart skipped. There he was, walking towar
EPISODE 4 – PART 3: “After Hours Sparks” Clara The office was silent now, only the soft hum of the air conditioning filling the room. I was finishing up the day’s last report when Alexander appeared at the doorway. “You’re still here?” he asked, a faint smirk on his face. “Yes… I wanted to finish this before leaving,” I replied, trying to sound confident, though my heart pounded in my chest. He leaned against the doorframe. “You’re dedicated… I like that.” I swallowed nervously. “Thank you… Alexander.” ⸻ Alexander Watching her, he realized how her hair fell softly over her shoulders, how her fingers moved delicately across the keyboard. Even in the quiet, mundane act of working late, she captivated him. “Clara,” he said, stepping closer. “Do you want a break? We can go for coffee… outside. A little fresh air.” I blinked. “Uh… outside?” “Yes. Consider it… a reward for working so late.” Her chest tightened. A reward? For me? ⸻ Clara (first-person) I hesit
EPISODE 4 – PART 2: “Unexpected Closeness” Clara It was mid-afternoon, and I was carrying a pile of reports to Alexander’s office. My mind was half on work, half on the smirk he had given me this morning. “Careful, Clara,” Mara whispered from across the floor. “Or you’ll get another disaster story.” I rolled my eyes. Not today. I can do this. But fate, of course, had other plans. ⸻ Alexander Alexander was reviewing quarterly reports in his office when he heard a shuffle outside the door. Looking up, he saw Clara approaching, her arms full of files. She looked focused… but her gait was slightly off. Oh no, he thought. Not again. He leaned back in his chair, smirking, deciding to watch for entertainment before intervening. ⸻ The Mishap As she stepped forward, a rogue cable caught her foot. “AHHHH!” The stack of papers tumbled toward him. Without thinking, Alexander leapt forward, catching the reports mid-air. “Clara!” he said, steadying the last of the
EPISODE 4 – PART 1: “Teasing and Tension” Clara Monday morning arrived faster than I was ready for. My head still buzzed from the late-night work session with Alexander yesterday. Mara nudged me in the lobby. “So… did you feel it? The spark?” I frowned. “Spark? What spark?” “You know… the one when he looks at you and makes your heart beat like crazy,” she said, eyes wide. “I saw it! Don’t pretend you don’t notice it either.” I sighed, forcing a smile. “Mara, please. It’s work. Nothing more.” Yet, even as I said it, my chest tightened at the thought of him. ⸻ Alexander Alexander Steele entered the office with purpose, his coat sharp, his steps measured. But something in his demeanor today was… playful. Dangerous, calculated playfulness. He scanned the office floor and immediately spotted Clara, busy with files. She looked up briefly, and their eyes met. She’s here. On time. Focused. But still… my distraction. A small smirk curved his lips. Perfect. ⸻ Clara
