Zane’s POV

“So, how long do you think they will be gone?” Luna asks as we lay in the post haze in my bed. Finally in a bed, and not just any bed, my bed.

“The way Sophie has them sweeping with the other packs, less than a week,” I tell her.

“How pissed was her mate to let her go alone?” Luna laughs.

“Tony is super pissed, Dad was pissed too, but has less say,” I tell her.

“So, why did Tony and Sophie reject your Dad? I don’t get it,” Luna asks.

“After Grandpa died, my Dad made a series of bad choices,” I hold her tight. “One of them was to throw Sophie into a wall in anger. She was ready to forgive him, but Tony would never forgive that. Honestly, I’m not sure I can ever forgive it. Sophie still loves my Dad.”
