Willow POV

1 year later

The last year has been shit, and that is putting it lightly. The rogue attacks have been more frequent and every time we feel like we are getting somewhere, they change tactics. They are pestering the other packs in our area but not as much as us. Why? What did they want?

I deferred university! My parents were disappointed, and Lizzie and Samantha begged for me to go with them, but I couldn’t. I can’t explain it, but I had a sense I needed to stay here. Thomas had been a god send. We have been looking into the rogues and I’ve been freeing him up for scout missions by doing the paper-based research. Louis had told me about the symbols on my wolf’s fur, but no one seemed to have experienced anything like this before. From the pictures Louis has drawn of the markings my research led me to think they belong to the old Celtic language.

There had been a few comments and not wanting to make a big deal of it for now, I didn’t take part in pack runs or pack training.
