Chapter Seventy Nine

"Let's welcome, Mr. Christopherr Allen!!!" She said and Christoper walked in with a smile on his face.

Rose was surprised as to why he would suddenly appear on tv. She was lost for a minute while staring at him.

Christopher took a seat and the host of the show was smiling happily at him. "Good morning Mr. Christopher!" She greeted him after he had taken a seat.

"Good morning!" Christopher answered.

"It's so great to have you on the show with us!!" The host said. It was at that moment that Rose got back her bearing.

"It's great to be here as well..." Christopher answered.

"So, Mr. Christopher, the first thing I'd like to ask you for, today is that tell us something you think we all should know about you!" The host said.

"Uhm, what can I say?... One thing I would like anyone to know about me is that I don't joke with my loved ones!" Christopher said while looking directly at the camera.

"Okay viewers!! We've all heard it. That's the one thing he would like us all to know about him." The host said while looking at the camera also. "So, our first question today is, why have you never appeared on tv before except today?" The host asked.

Christopher already expected her to ask him that question because, before he was called in, they had read out some of the questions to him. "Well, I have never appeared on tv before because there hasn't been any need to. I am here today because it's very important.!" He answered.

"Okay, so If I may ask, what's the reason for coming on the show today?" The host asked.

"Well, can I answer that question later?" Christopher asked the host.

"Sure!! You can answer it anytime you feel like it. So, my next question for you today is what I am sure that even the viewers at home are curious to know!" The host of the show said. "Yesterday, news about you owing companies in and outside the state spread out. Is that true!?"

"Yes, they are all true," Christopher answered.

"Wow!! That's explosive news. Do you know that what you just revealed out you as one the richest young man? It takes you directly to the top!! That's a great fit to achieve at such a young age..." The host said with admiration.

"It hasn't been easy," Christopher answered.

"I can only imagine how you started. Can you share a little bit of your journey with us? The whole world knows when C.Corporations started and to think that you are the brain behind it is simply amazing! We'd all like to know what motivated you to create your path at such young age." The host asked.

"Sure! I started working as early as possible. It wasn't easy but I had loyal friends who stood by me and helped me. I always had one goal and that is to create a name got myself and not to rely on my father's name. That's what kept pushing me till I got to this moment." Christopher answered.

"That's admirable. Most people will just rely on inheriting their parent's wealth but, you decided to work and set your own part! So our next question is about the lady that appeared with you recently." The host said and a picture of Rose and Christopher with Princess appeared on the screen.

Rose who was watching was curious to know what kind of questions they would ask and what Christopher's answer would be. "Okay, ask away..." Christopher answered with a calm face.

"So, we will all like to know a little bit of inside story. Initially, miss Cindy Coker the daughter of the vice president was known to be in a relationship with you... Some weeks ago, she came out with your father and announced that the two of you are engaged. Now, you have a wife and it's not her. I am curious and I am very sure that viewers at home are curious as well.'' The host said.

Christopher looked at the camera and said. "My father indeed came out to announce an engagement between myself and Cindy but, I want to use this medium to tell everyone that, there was nothing between myself and Cindy. There wasn't and there will never be anything between us." Christopher answered.

"Hmmmm, if what you are saying is correct then, why didn't you clear the air for a long time!? Why are you talking about it for the first time?" The host asked. That wasn't part of what she was supposed to ask but, she was curious and so was everyone who was watching it at that moment.

"Well, I never felt the need to. I have never felt the need to clarify something that didn't exist at all. It would be a waste of time." Christopher answered.

"So, why are you clarifying it now? Why is there a need to talk about it now? Is this about the lady you claimed is your wife?" The host asked.

"Yes!! This is about my wife. This morning, she didn't accept my love because she said I still have a fiancee!" Christopher said.

When Rose heard his answer, she didn't know what to feel. She was happy, surprised, and not surprised at the same time. She just kept looking at Christopher through the screen. When Christopher gave his answer, the host laughed and asked, "is that the reason why you are doing what you have never done before?" She asked and Christopher nodded his head. "Hmmm, so, when did you get married to your wife and why have we never heard of her and your daughter till a few days ago?" The host asked.

"Well, We met seven years ago, things happened and we lost contact. Now, we are back together after so many years apart and I don't want a simple misunderstanding to ruin our time together." Christopher answered.

"Okay!!" The host said and looked at the camera. "Viewers at home, we have heard it." After saying that, she turned to Christopher and asked. "So, can we know where she was all this while? Some people are saying she is with you because of your wealth and because she wants to ruin your relationship with miss Cindy! What do you have to say about that?"

"You can't ruin something that doesn't exist! There was nothing between me and Cindy so, My beautiful wife did not come between me and anyone. Secondly, I am willing to exchange all my wealth just to see my wife smile. If she wants, I will willingly give her everything I own and let her be the breadwinner of the house if it will make her happy..." Christopher answered.

"Did you all hear that? This is a happily married man and a father.!!" The host said to the camera. "So, there is a question you did not answer earlier. Now, can you answer that question??" The host of the show answered Christopher.

"Yes, but please, can you repeat that question?" Christopher asked.

"Sure!! I asked you why you came on the show today and you said you wanted to answer later." The host said.

"Okay... So, I have two reasons for being here today. The first reason is to say to everyone that cares to listen that, I am married to Rose and there is nothing anyone can do about it. No matter what lengths that they go to, it won't be enough to separate me and my wife. Secondly, I want to plead with everyone who has supported me in one way or the other to stop bringing up my name and Cindy's together. That topic upsets my family. I hate to see a frown on my wife's face and I don't want this to affect my daughter as well." Christopher said while looking at the camera.

"Okay, viewers!!! We have all heard it. It's very obvious that we have lost one of our ideal men to another lady.!!" The host said and laughed. "So, we have come to the end of this show and before we go, I will give you a chance to look at that camera and say anything you want."

Christopher looked at the camera for a while and said, "I know you are looking at me right now and that's why I want to use this opportunity to thank you. Thank you for coming into my life. Thank you for giving me happiness. Thank you for being the mother of my child and my wife. Thank you for choosing to spend the rest of your life with me. I thank fate for making our paths cross and I thank you for always making me have something I look forward to. Thank you for making me the happiest man alive today. I love the fact that you gave me the opportunity to be the father of an amazing child. If I am to go back and change anything in my life, I will choose to meet you earlier. I LOVE YOU ROSE!!" Christopher said with his eyes at the camera all through.

The host was lost after Christopher's speech. She didn't say anything for some moments and the whole place was quiet. "That was a powerful message and I must say, I am jealous!!" She said after a while. "Now, we have come to the end of today's show and it was great having you here." She said to Christopher.

"Thank you for having me!" Christopher answered.

"This is the end of today's breakfast show and this is the time for me to say, bye-bye!!" The host said and waved at the camera.

Rose was still looking at the tv even after the show had ended. Her feelings and thoughts were just going haywire. While looking into his eyes through the screen, it felt like she was feeling every word he said. She could feel his emotions in that stare. She didn't even realize that she was still looking at the tv screen with all sorts of emotions running through her.

The way he confessed those words made her realize just how much she was holding back. She realized at that moment that there could be no other name for what she felt for Christopher except love. It was at that moment that she realized that, while she was hiding from him and following his movements online, she had fallen in love with him. That realization brought happy tears to her eyes. 'How could I have been so blind?' She asked herself. I should have known what I was feeling. She scolded herself In her heart. "Oh, God!!! Christopher! You have managed to take away every single part of me..." She whispered.
