Twenty eight

Sophia's POV

The ringing of my phone had woken me up. The thought that the caller might be Alexios had me awake almost immediately.

"Hi." I hated how disappointed my voice had sounded.

"Hi Sophia. How are you doing? I called twice earlier but your mom said you were sleeping." Skylar sounded concerned and worried which only made me feel even worse.

"Yeah. I was stressed both mentally and physically so I slept it off." I hadn't realized how long I had slept for not until I looked at my phone.

"As long as you are okay." Skylar sighed relieved.

"I am okay I promise. So what about you? How are you doing?" I have to be the worst friend in existence. I had totally forgotten to check in on Skylar, all I had in mind all day was Alexios.
