Lana’s POV

“Mr Norman, what are you doing here?” I quickly slip the blade up my sleeve as I stared at him in surprise. Why had he broken into my home? What reason did he have to be here?

“Please, call me Seth,” he stands with a smile and hands me a glass, it was full with a brown liquid. Whisky. I’m not stupid, I wasn’t going to touch a single drop.

Placing the glass down, I see him suck in his cheeks, he had put something in it!

“That still doesn’t tell me why you are in my home!” His hazel eyes run over me as I stand my ground.

“Please sit. I wanted to make sure you were okay. You seemed a little out of sorts.”

“I’m not the one who is out of sorts. I haven’t broken into someone’s home!” I feel like I have every right to be defensive. This was my home and I had not invited him in.

“You’ve been crying, anything I can help you with?” He takes a long swig of the whisky in his glass. Ignoring his comment, I ask him again.

“Why are you in my home?” my fingers sat tightly around the
