A man led a group of bodyguards to block the gym entrance as he barked, "Which one of you is Carson James? Come out right now! You seduced Chloe Quinn with that face of yours and made use of her. You live in her house, drive her car, and swipe her credit cards. Are you even still a man?

"If you know what's good for you, pay back the millions you leeched off of her!"

I set down my barbell, opened my gym locker, and pulled out half a tub of protein powder and a gym membership card. I passed them over to him. "Everything is here. I've consumed half the tub of protein powder. Do I need to pay that back to you by the pound?"

Walter Harris stared at the tub of protein powder in my hands for a few seconds before blowing up at me. "Do you take me for a fool, Carson?"

When I heard his outburst, I handed him a tumbler. "All right, you've caught me. Chloe bought me this too, but I've already used it. Do you still want it?"

I pulled my hand away, though I kept staring at it. I could not bear to give it up.

Walter's face fell, and his bodyguards looked at me strangely. Dozens of them had barged in to come after me, looking like they were prepared to take me down, but all they had gotten was half a tub of vanilla-flavored protein powder.

It was only natural that Walter was not happy.

He pushed me away and went straight for my locker. "Didn't you say everything you have is here? I want everyone to see for themselves just how much Chloe has spent on you over the past three years."

With that, he opened the locker with a sudden jerk, and all of the contents fell out, which included two white sports singlets that had been washed one too many times, two pairs of exercise shorts, and three huge chicken drumsticks.

I dashed forward right away.

When Walter saw this, he blocked my way. "What's the hurry? I knew you had something hidden in there!"

He got the bodyguards to hold me back while he went through my locker. After a while, his eyes finally lit up, and he pulled out a black shopping bag from the corner. The golden logo on the bag stuck out like a sore thumb, and everyone gasped.

"It's that famous brand! A bag from that place costs several thousand bucks!"

"Tsk! I thought that guy got it wrong. This fellow really is a kept man."

"I see him at the gym every day. He's really working hard to keep his wealthy woman happy. Hahaha!"

Walter laughed gleefully as he pointed at the shopping bag. "What's in there? Are you afraid of being exposed when you're already publicly leeching off a rich woman?"

As he spoke, he turned the shopping bag over.

"Don't!"

Plop! A container filled with hard-boiled eggs fell out. I quickly escaped from the bodyguards’ grip to put the eggs back into the container. "Five-second rule! They're still edible!"

After that, I crawled past Walter's feet to pick up the drumsticks from the floor. "This is such a waste of food! I almost lost the extra protein I packed for after my gym session."

Walter watched what I was doing and asked through clenched teeth, "You're actually using that shopping bag to pack your eggs?"

I explained, "Chloe got it when she bought a bag from there. The quality is great, so I've been using it to pack my meals. It's been three months, and it's still going strong."

Walter heaved, but he refused to give up as he continued going through my things. This time, he found something worth making a fuss about. It was a black credit card. When he found it, a smile appeared on his face again. "Look! What's this?"

I glanced at the card and frowned thoughtfully before replying, "A credit card."

"Of course it is!" He gritted his teeth. "This is an unlimited credit card from Chloe's family, the Quinns."

Everyone around us looked envious.

"My gosh! Unlimited? I want to be a kept man too."

"Forget about it. Just look at how tiny you are. No rich woman would want you."

"He's right. You'll get dumped sooner or later."

Walter pushed the card into my face. "Don’t you dare claim you’ve never spent a cent of Chloe’s money?"

I scratched my head in embarrassment. "But this card has been frozen for a long time."
