Chapter 45. The new office recruit

John woke up early the next day. Adrianna was still asleep wrapped in her blanket like a caterpillar in a cocoon. He smiled,'' A new day, a new beginning, and for some..................the end''. 

Taking a quick shower he dressed in formal attire and left a note on the table for Adrianna.

''Dear Adrianna,

To new beginnings.

I am gone job hunting, will see you in the afternoon.

love,

        John

He drew a heart in the corner of the page and folded it gently and placed it on her table.

How he wished to kiss her on her forehead before he left. But he knew they were still far away from physical affection. He craved her tender kiss upon his lips, her delicate fingers intwined with his. ''Soon, my love. You will be mine forever and always.We will be one'', John thought as he glanced at her one last time before closing the door behind him.

Only she had the power to make him weak in the knees.
