What does AGE have to do with love? Just like fine wine, everyone gets better with age, and love becomes more charming with age. After reading so many books by YA and peers as male protagonists, it's time to refresh it with a fully mature man for the female protagonist!Unlike those young male protagonists, HE will trust you, support you, spoil you, and always be by your side unconditionally. When you are in the dark moments of life, he will be by your side and comfort you with the shoulders. When you are at your worst, he will guide you with his experience. When you are on the low, he will still be the one leading you. Mature men can not only resonate with you more spiritually but also bring you different sparks and passions.

Chapter One
Cora’s POV My husband is not a good man, but I’d hardly be considered a good woman, so maybe we deserve each other after all. Tonight, there’s a plan. I’ve plotted a cheating scandal to get my Alpha husband to reject me and divorce me. Finally. I smooth out the front of my dress and look up at the man in front of me. He isn’t my husband. My husband Alexander is away. He’s always away, and I’m sick of being his invisible-but-waiting luna. Half an hour ago, I placed an anonymous tip to various tabloids and gossip columns telling them the Alpha’s Luna was having an affair and they’d be able to see the evidence for themselves if they camped outside his villa. They’re out there now–every few moments, through the crystal-clear windows, I can see the odd camera flash. The man in front of me is the last piece of the puzzle. He’s no one important–some Omega prostitute I’ve paid handsomely to be my partner in crime. I look the part of a cheating wife–I’ve applied

Chapter Two
Cora’s POV “Your eyes are red.” Ali stumbles away from me, looking up at me in absolute terror. Strands of blond hair fall messily over her face. I smirk. “Your eyes are red, why are your eyes red, only an Alpha’s eyes can turn red–” Ali is babbling now, walking backwards, lower lip trembling. I stalk towards her. “And what do you think I am?” “I don’t, I don’t know–” Goodness, the poor girl looks like she’s about to burst into tears. I could kill her. I do consider killing her, actually. She, along with the rest of Alexander’s family, has done nothing but make my life a living hell for the past three years. And I’m sick of it. I keep walking towards her, all the way to the other side of the hall. Her back presses up against the wall. Slowly, deliberately, I grab both her wrists in one hand and pin her against the wall. My free hand wraps around the base of her throat. She looks absolutely helpless. “I need you to listen to me very care

Chapter Three
Cora’s POV I’m happy that my father cares about me, but honestly, this whole bedrest situation is starting to get unbearably boring. “Just tell me again what happened,” my father urges, setting a bowl of soup down on the bedside table next to me. Chicken soup–my favourite. I sigh. “I was attacked by rogues near the Black Moon pack–I don’t know what I was doing out there. I lost my memory–and, apparently, my connection to Pearl. Alexander–the pack’s alpha–rescued me. We mate-bonded. We got married. I loved him, but he–” my voice catches. I take a deep breath. “He didn’t love me at all, so I left. Somehow, in the process of all of that, I got my memories back–started to, at least. And so here I am.” My father’s face, usually so kind, is etched with brutal anger instead. “You reached out to me with your mind link when you reconnected with your wolf,” he says slowly. “Do you remember that part?” I blink. “No, I–I don’t remember doing that.” “Well, you did.”

Chapter Four
Cora’s POV I’m used to everyone looking my way when I step into a room, but it’s usually in admiration, not loathing. It makes sense, I suppose. As far as they know, I’m the cheating slut of a wife who betrayed the Alpha of the Black Moon pack, so how dare I come to a club this high-profile, looking this good, without my husband? But I’ve always been able to rock a miniskirt, and I’ve got the figure for a corset top, and I’m pretty sure Anna’s brushed every inch of exposed skin with body glitter. I look great. I feel like having fun. I’m not in the mood for their disrespect. Anna and I get into the club easily enough–she is a superstar, after all–and grab a seat at a small table to the left of the main stage. I wave over a waiter. “I’ll have an amaretto sour, please,” I tell him. “Oh–start a tab.” “Strawberry daiquiri for me!” Anna adds. The waiter shoots me a dirty look, then walks off. I catch Anna’s eye and am suddenly unable to stop myself fr

Chapter Five
Alexander’s POV A club is the last place I want to be after finding out my Luna has been cheating on me, but, according to my friends, that’s exactly why I should go. The crowded limo pulls up to The Witching Hour. There are six of us in total: myself, Luke Silver Tooth of the Silver Tooth pack, Richard Shredder of the Shredder pack, Archer Swift Paw of the Swift Paw pack, Benvolio Morbius of the Morbius pack, and Eliott Crimson of the Crimson pack. A “celebration of my being single,” they called this little adventure, but I can already tell it’s just a coverup to get me into a business meeting. Still, I could use a good strong drink. Or ten. We walk into the club and settle into my private box. The other alphas huddle around me, eyes shifting around the club to make sure no one will be listening in. The box is fairly secluded, though, closer to the back and away from prying ears. I made sure of that when I first secured it. “So,” Benvolio says

Chapter Six
Cora’s POV I know it’s the wrong response, but when I see that Alexander is the one who pulled me out of the club, I actually find it sort of funny. We’re in the parking lot, dimly lit. He looks angry. I’m nowhere near as afraid as I should be. I pull away from him and smooth down the front of my corset top, then look up at him. I’m more miffed than anything else. That other guy was cute. It’s almost ironic. When I was in love with him, he didn’t even bother to come home most of the time. And now that I’ve left him, he’s dragging me away from other men. “Where did you get the money?” Alexander snaps at me before I can complain about his manhandling. I can’t suppress the sharp burst of angry laughter I let out. “You came to me because of the money? Because you’re worried about your money?” I contemplate yelling at him, but he’s nowhere near worth the effort. “Even if I robbed a bank to get this money, I wouldn’t need you to care about it. I’m not your

Chapter Seven
Alexander’s POV When I get back to my villa, the first thing I do is check my bank balance. Not a cent is out of place. And Cora is nothing but an omega, so where did she get the money? Has she found another man? I can’t help but think about how she looked on that stage, careless and sexy, twirling like the world is hers–the mate bond between us may be unbroken, but has she found another man? “Coffee,” I bark to a passing maid, who nods timidly and scurries off. Oh, I saw that fancy limousine she left in. And I saw the license plate as she drove away. That wasn’t just a Black Moon Pack vehicle. It was the car of the alpha himself. So is that who she’s bleeding for cash now? Must be. I’d almost find her ability to take advantage of rich men so easily impressive, if it wasn’t actively driving me insane. The maid returns with my coffee. Thank goodness. I take a sip and immediately spit it out, hot liquid burning the roof of my mouth.

Chapter Eight
Cora’s POV I need to start my life over, plain and simple. My father is old. He’s not in good health. The company needs me, and I might not remember everything about my former life, but I’ve got a gut feeling that I’ll be well-equipped to handle whatever this job could possibly throw at me. I arrive accompanied by my father at the big glass corporate building early the next morning, smartly dressed and ready for the shareholder’s meeting. My heels clack on cool tile as I cross the shiny white floor. My ponytail bounces with every step. “Remember,” my father hisses to me as we move through the building and towards the shareholder’s room. “They’re going to underestimate you. Be ready for that, Cora. They’ll object. They’re going to act like they’re smarter than you. But you’re better than all of them. Be strong.” “I will,” I tell my father with a smile, squeezing his arm. We’re the last ones to enter the boardroom, fashionably late. We don’t care about t

Chapter Nine
Cora’s POV It’s already been an unbearably awful day for me, but somehow it manages to get worse as I leave the hospital. My phone rings, screen lighting up with an unfamiliar number. I frown as I answer, stepping into my limousine. “Hello?” “Hello? Ms. White Claw?” A man’s voice crackles through the line. “My name is Cody, I am–was?–am–your father’s personal assistance.” “Okay.” My eyes narrow. “What’s up?” “The Black Moon pack has called a press conference just today to state that they’re terminating all partnerships and communications with Pack White Claw–” I grit my teeth and scowl. Just as I’m about to ask a number of followup questions, Brad’s name and number pop up on the screen. “I’m sorry, Cody, I’ll have to get back to you,” I apologize, hanging up on the assistance and taking my uncle’s call instead. “The board of directors wants you to step down immediately,” Brad says as soon as I connect. “Hello to you too,” I groan. It’s

Chapter Ten
Cora’s POV “Ms. White Claw, we have the results from our tests back–” I whirl away from Cody, holding up two dresses on their hangers and comparing them. “Summarize for me.” Cody sucks in a breath. “Nothing we’re producing shows any dip in quality, and the factory has no negative news to report. We’ve maintained the same level of quality since we started producing the Black Moon Pack’s goods–in fact, we’ve gotten even better with production over the years, and we’re currently sitting at an all-time high in terms of efficient and skillful production. We produce well-made items for reasonable prices, and we’re damn good at it. Simply put, there’s no reason for Pack Black Moon to cease production with us. In fact, it’s detrimental for them to even try.” “Lovely.” I drop both the dresses and press my fingers to my temples. So it’s definitely me, then. “Thank you, Cody.” “Of course, Ms. White Claw. Is there anything else you need from me?” “That’s everything.”
