Chapter 22: Andie

I knew that it was going to take Jorge a little while to be able to keep his promise. I’m not unreasonable. He needed to hire someone and then train them.

Actually, he found a driver fairly quickly. One of our friends, Angel, had just been laid off from his job, so he took the shifts quickly. And Jorge found a commercial kitchen that he could rent out part time so that he didn’t take over our entire house and he could bake all day to get orders out.

That was six weeks ago. He’s had plenty of time to be able to reduce his hours, especially since two days of that were spent driving.

Has he? Nope.

You would think that after that big dramatic scene that we dealt with, how upset Jaime was, how pissed off I was, that Jorge would understand that he can’t keep doing this. You would think that he would understand that, even though he has a new business, that he has to make time for us as well.

It’s not happening.
