Chapter 115

"Why would you need to keep it together?"

"I want our first time to be special and before we have our first time, you need to make things right Astrid" he pulls away from me and I already feel empty but I do know what he means, I need to tell the elders I have my mate and I obviously want my mate.

"After you make things right, I will mark you and then make love to you for days" I tighten my legs and bite my lips trying to keep it together "I'm going to have a shower, then we'd go and see what the situation is with the King and my saviour" "kay"

I close the door behind me after I leave the bathroom to give him his privacy and lean on it, only to witness Cory and his mate sucking on each others faces "ahem" she pulls away blushing and hides in his chest "you can't tell me you were about to have your first in a hospital room Cory" "course not Astrid, like I'd take the chance of someone walking in and seeing my mate naked!"

"Oh please w-" I stop myself before I say something that I can't take back and Cory really does murder me but I'm certain, one way or the other his mate will hear of his promiscuous past. "Astrid, are you ready to go?" "where are you going?" "to check on Roho, you said she's the one who healed us right, so I want to make sure she's okay" "I wanna go too Cory" "okay".

We all leave the room and head back to where I left Tyler but he's no longer there, so I stop a nurse "excuse me but can you tell us where the King is, he was here a while ago waiting on Roho" "she's been moved to his ICU bay Lady Astrid, he's there with her but unfortunately he says no one is allowed in other than himself and authorized medical staff" "and the other injured person"  "also in the ICU but a different room from them" "thank you"

I continue on to his private wing and there are Royal Guards standing outside one of the doors, they turn as we approach "sorry Beta Cory, Lady Astrid but you are not allowed to enter as per our Kings instructions" "even us?" "even you I'm afraid" Cory steps ahead of us "stand down" "sorry Beta Cory but your words are not above our Kings, he said only certain persons may approach and you are not on that list, we kindly ask that you return"

"Is the King inside?" "yes, he is" I nod and turn to Carson "let's go, you probably need to get back and get some more rest" he nods and follows me back and so does Cory's mate, he's still staring down the guards there who eye him and are ready to defend if it comes down to it but I have no idea what's gotten into him but I do not like it at all and I know, neither will Tyler, he's already gotten away with his lack of respect before, I know he won't be so lucky if he crosses Tyler again and I don't want to be around if that does happen.

"Cory, come on and stop bothering the guards, they're just doing their jobs!" his mate eventually calls after him and he turns following us.

"Lady Astrid?" by the Gods, why now?! "Elder Tom, what are you doing here?" "I was told that the King is somewhere on this floor, I needed to have a quick word with him" his eyes float to the others and land on the close space between Carson and me.

"Aren't you standing a little too close to the future Luna Queen?" he narrows his eyes "elder Tom, I will have you know that this is my mate, please do not be discourteous to him"

"MATE?" he sneers "you mean to tell me you intend to accept this, this nobody as your mate, when you were born to be Queen?!"

"Not intend to, I already have, and he is not a nobody, his name is Carson Wade and he is my mate, MINE!"

"Does the King know of his existence?"

"Of course he does, and is quire happy for me"

"I'm sure he is, make sure you come and see us tomorrow in the conference room Lady Astrid, we will be discussing this further with the other Elders"

Tylers voice cuts through us "there is nothing further to discuss Elder Tom, your number One candidate has found her soul mate and wants to be with him, what do you intend to do, go against the Goddess and force her to reject him, just so you can fool yourself into thinking you have some sort of hold or control over me through her?"

"That was never my intent my King"

"Tell that to some other fool Elder Tom, not me, we both know better than that now don't we" Tyler folds his arms and stares him down.
