Chapter 11

I just blurted everything out in one go and hope for the best now I suppose. I look up at him after not hearing any movements or response from him, his chin is resting on his palm as he stares hard at me not blinking, "Alpha?" " I see, so you've befriended a witch who taught you interesting things, and where pray tell have you met this witch Ro and for how long have you known her and where does she live?" he asks these questions with a lethal and eerie low voice.

" I've known her for about Two years give or take, I met her by chance not too far outside our border when I was out for a run, well walk I guess and uhm, she lives in a cottage but I promised her I'd keep her home safe, please please please don't make me break my promise, I give you my word she's not dangerous to us, she really is the sweetest " " you seem to be throwing your words around quite a lot within the past couple hours, very well Ro, I will give your witch the benefit of the doubt"

I breathe a sigh of relief " thank you Alpha" " don't thank me just yet, I need you to go to Gaisha and ensure Beau returns safely, go home and get changed and head out and also can you consider moving to the packhouse? it would appear our new packmate wants to stay close to you, it would make things so much easier on you Roro, just think about it okay?" " yes Alpha I will think on it" " good girl, now off you go" I was about to leave when a thought crossed my mind " uhm Alpha, can I have an acceptance letter for our Uni please "

He looked kind of confused " Ro, you've already completed your studies " " not for me for Beau, you know for just in case purposes with his family, he should make a cleaner break from them and what could be cleaner than going away to study " he laughed and shook his head " you really are something else you know that right " I waited for him to print, sign and stamp the document and then place it in an envelope before taking it and heading out.

I head out and head back towards my house, well their house but you know what I mean, I got time for a shower before I chase after Beau, I was just about to head up the stairs on my front porch when I'm greeted by my father " hey uh Roho, can I talk to you for a bit " " can it wait till later dad, I have somewhere I need to be right now, I have to go and get ready to head out" " but you just got back, and your shift at the hospital is not for a few hours" " the Alpha is sending me out of the pack on an errand that's all" " okay well I promise this won't take very long, it has to be right now as your mo-step mother isn't home right now"

I sigh, surrendering " okay dad, what is it?" he smiled " considering we're short on time, let's use the car, hop in and let's go" he walks past me and heads to his car and I turn and follow him.

We drive towards the East of the pack centre which heads away from basically everyone, is this man about to murder me or something?

We pull up to a house and my dad gets out of the car and naturally so do I " dad where are we?" he turned and looked at me " now Ro, I know that I have spent many years being passive and standoff ish with you which I do acknowledge was very wrong of me to do and there is no way I can truly make up for it but I wanted to at least be able to give you something of your own, I know very well the reason you work these Two jobs at these hours even though you don't have to is because being in the house is hard and uncomfortable for you, so "

He fished a set of keys from his pocket and handed them to me, I stare at him in astonishment and slowly extend my hand to him and he placed them in my hands, I look up at the house and I love it so much already even though I haven't been inside yet, it has a porch all around, Two story, push out windows and painted chocolate brown and dark blue, I walk up the porch and unlock the door and open it, I peer inside and my eyes water, it's fully furnished and smells like fresh paint, I make a walk around the house and take it all in, the kitchen is perfectly spaced, there's Two bedrooms downstairs and Three upstairs , I have no clue what I'll do with all this space but I love the house so damn much.

I rush back downstairs and out the front door, I make sure to lock up and for the first time in my life I hug my dad and cry and he hug me back and smells my hair and releases a very deep breath, I sniffle I look up at him " how did you know? " he smiled softly at me " even though I don't say anything Ro, I observe you and I pay attention to you, you're my little girl , now come on you say you got somewhere to be for Alpha, let's head back "
