Chapter 12

I sniffle and nod at him, we get back into the car and drive back to his house, this time with a comfortable silence, before we got out the car and touch his hand and simply say " thank you, I love it very much " " you're welcome honey, don't mention it" I nod and get out of the car, I rush to my room and grab a quick shower, change my clothes and head out the door.

I began walking to the packhouse to meet Ivo so he could drop me to a point and then find my way the rest of the way when my dad slowed down by me " get in, I'd drop you " I hop in and we head out through the pack gates and down towards the high way " Ro, I hope you don't mind but I'd rather keep the fact that I bought the house for you from Nika and the kids okay? " " you didn't have to tell me that dad, I know, the last thing I want is to cause any trouble for you, I had no intention of saying anything to anyone " we continue the drive to a point and I ask him to pull over, I take a whiff and we continue on up until I catch Beau's scent, I asked my dad to drop me off there and told him I'd make my way on foot, he reluctantly left and drove back.

I ran along the tree lines, close enough to the road to keep his scent and far enough from the woods to avoid rogues detecting me, I have no problem fighting but when you can avoid conflict, you do so.

I run for a couple hours well and stopped when I got his city, I walked into a store to grab a water and a snack before hitting the road again, by the time I get to where his scent is coming from it's well past noon, I walk up and knock on the door and a human guy came to the door, not too bad looking but certainly not my cup of tea " hello pretty lady, what can I do you for?" ugh cringe much " looking for Beau " his smile instantly falls and he rolls his eyes and turned into the house.

I look up towards a window after a bit when I feel Beaus' eyes on me and I see his silhouette there indeed, I hope he doesn't take too long because we really need to get going

Red stirred just as I was making the turn onto the highway that leads back to the " pack " " I needed that power nap " " you know you're awfully trusting for someone who just met me " " don't get tricked kid, even though I was asleep, I was fully aware of everything in and out of this jeep and yes this is my natural hair colour " dang she heard me talking to myself, all I could do was look ahead as I am so damned embarrassed right now, we drive in silence and up to a point I shiver " so you felt it " " what was that? " " our packs' border, we crossed from human territory into our pack lands, we should see our border patrol flanking us pretty soon as they would've felt when we came through ".

" I guess I really do have a lot to catch up on " " correct is right kiddo " " would you stop calling me a kid, look at me Red " I can see your body just fine Beau but it doesn't change the fact that you're a teenager " I scoff and roll my eyes " you will fill out even more though after you shift and get your wolf, just so you don't be too surprised the next time you see yourself after the fact " " well thanks for the heads up " we pull up to the main gate and Red sticks her head out and they open, we go through and I drive through the town and back to the pack house.

Red hops out " come on kid, we gotta go report back to the Alpha " I follow her in and we take the elevator up, she knocks and once again the booming voice calls out for us to enter " ahh you're back, where did you meet him Roho? on his way back? " I chuckle " she met me at my house " he looked as surprised as I was when I saw her outside my house " " wow Roro that's more than impressive, well while you were away, we moved your things into your home and if you don't mind Beau here will be your room mate " " but Alpha, I just got my house and you're asking me to share it ? what if he's an axe murderer or something? "

He looks at her with a raised eyebrow of disbelief " Ro we both know you are our top female, heck top warrior over all in the pack, how would you expect me to believe you'd let an untrained pup get the best of you, in your own home at that, don't make me laugh Ro " " aww man, so why can't he stay at the packhouse with everyone else? " " because I feel safest with you Red, you where my first point of contact " " and you did vouch for him, so now you have to take responsibility " " well f**k " the Alpha is stifling a laugh " me and my bloody big mouth, do you snore? you better not or I swear to the Goddess I'd murder you in your sleep " " uh nope, not a snorer " she stared at Alpha long and hard then sighed " you guys owe me for this " " sure thing sunbeam " " pet names won't work! you! follow me " " come back to the packhouse later at about 22:00 " " roger "
