Killian's POV.

After I had left Selene to get some rest, I went to see Ronan.

There were still things to handle, matters I had neglected while Selene was unconscious.

We dicussed about reports, pack concerns, shifts and territories.

After everything, I went back to my chambers.

Night came, I went to bed and then morning came.

I bathed, dressed, and stepped out of my chambers. My feet were already taking me to her before my thoughts could catch up.

I didn’t know exactly what I was going to say, but I knew I wanted to see her.

The moment I reached the guest quarters, a strange stillness settled in my chest.

Selene’s door was slightly open.

That alone wasn’t alarming, maybe Carmen had stepped out, I thought.

But then my gaze fell on the blonde-haired bastard standing right by the bathroom door and something inside me snapped.

The door hadn’t even opened fully. It was just slightly ajar, but I saw enough. His stance… the way he stood far too close.

What the hell was he thinking?
