Kayla sped off in a manner Sharlynn had never seen before, she couldn't even see the trees that Kayla ran past as she carried her, everything looked blurry and frankly she was sure that she would puke if Kayla didn't slow down. As though reading her mind Kayla slowed down and Sharlynn immediately wished Kayla didn't slow down.
Kayla was running at a normal pace as she headed for a big rock that Sharlynn was sure shouldn't exist in Hollow hills. But it seemed as though Kayla wanted to slam right into the rock! Sharlynn's heart raced in fear as she yelled, "What the hell are you doing?! That's a freaking rock! You're gonna kill us!"
Kayla instead smirked as she said, " hold on tight princess" before she suddenly sped through the rock with Sharlynn screaming at the top of her lungs. She shut her eyes as she prepared to face the death she thought she had escaped earlier.

As Sharlynn walked away angrily, she saw Ricky-Shawn talking to a certain man. He didn't seem lost, on the contrary, he seemed to know exactly where he was! It all made sense to her now. Darren opened his eyes and groaned in pain as he felt chains on his arms and legs. He was in his room, so he wondered who would chain him. He closed his eyes and he saw himself as a vampire hunting down Sharlynn and his eyes flew open again as realization hit him, he tried to kill Sharlynn right after killing countless numbers of young women and piling them in a heap.He heard footsteps and looked in the direction of his door that was flung by his sister's clumsy magic." Meredith, unchain me right now!" He said angrily but she jolted from him. Her action made him remember what he did to her the previous night, he knocked her to the ground and tried to feed on her until she cast a spell on him - not just any spell - one that was meant to kill him!If she hadn't been his family, he would've died! Darren was mortified as he watched Sharlynn's face become pale. He knew he shouldn't have come to school, now the girl he's crazy about has just found him in his bloodthirsty state yet again. Sharlynn stood in front of the largest building she had ever seen in Hollow hills and wondered if she was in the right place. She didn't think that Kyle lived there, he didn't strike her as the extremely rich type even though he had the pride for it.She touched the thick iron Gates and saw strange inscriptions on it along with subtle illustrations of wolves on the gate. If there were werewolf drawings on the gate, then she might be wrong about Kyle not living there.She sighed and looked at the address Mr. Gerard gave her and checked for the umpteenth time if it matched with the address she saw in front of the building before she put it in her bag and reached out her hand to ring the doorbell outside the gate." Later that night after Sharlynn's mom came back from the hospital where she'd been working, Sharlynn thought about how she would tell her mom that she was going to a party. After thinking long and hard about it, she decided she would just dress up for the party, and then when her mom sees how psyched she is to attend the party she would let her go.The thought of opening her closet made her unhappy because her clothes weren't much anymore. Just the ones her parents were able to save from the fire were on her bed and she felt weird putting very few clothes in the closet because it looked three times larger than her old one.
