Chapter Fifty-two
Alexander’s POV
Charlie did not look impressed when she saw Kayla and myself together and her eyes hovered over our clasped hands longer than normal but the distraction of Kiwi being on our land snaps her out of her thoughts.
As Charlie declares she is going to take Kiwi down from the inside, Max seems furious, angry at the danger his mate is going to be in but this time I think Charlie is right, maybe tricking Kiwi was our way forward.
As Charlie steps outside into the sunlight, Max corners me. “If this doesn’t work brother, I will make you pay for it for the rest of your life”. There was nothing to say. I knew he meant it so I just bow my head.

Alexander’s POVIt was strange in the packhouse, don’t get me wrong I am enjoying my time with Kayla, even more now she has moved into my room, what was strange was seeing Max moping about. Normally he was so head strong, so confident yet without his mate he seemed like a lost puppy.I knew he was communicating with Charlie as he told us so, and she was getting better at using her powers but there was still no sign of her returning home and until the Luna ritual was completed, Max was the only one able to speak to her which is extremely frustrating.As the days passed, Max’s anger continued to grow and he would take his anger out on any little thing that pissed him off. Charlies POVI hadn’t spoken to Max in days, mostly because Kiwi was always around and after a couple of days of being here she began having guards follow me around.
