20. A Gift

That afternoon, I got ready to go to the park. Kenan and I had promised to meet at the park in the city center.

"You're leaving, honey?" asked Dad while noticing my beautiful appearance.

"Yeah. I have a promise with Kenan, Dad," I answered.

"Kenan? Why don't you hang out with Steve?" Dad asked.

"Come on!"

I rushed to go. After walking a little towards the main road, I stopped a taxi that happened to pass by.

"I finally arrived," I said.

I sat on a park bench, thinking about a birthday present for Daddy. Since my mom died, I only have Daddy; he is everything to me.

"Kei!"

I turned toward the source of the sound. It turned out that Kenan was already standing there, waving his hand at me. I was so happy to see him while I waved back his hand. Recently, my relationship with Kenan has gotten closer. Yeah, although he still likes to hide things.
