Fate is truly funny and cruel. At first, I didn’t know the real reason Jason didn’t attend Jensen’s birthday party, even though I had sent him a message in the afternoon and called him in the evening. There was no response at all. I was scared. A bad feeling arose, even though I still hoped my prediction was wrong.

But it turned out that everything was revealed at once.

Since there was no response, and it was getting late, Jensen and I went out without Jason. I sent another message to let him know we were heading to the food court by the Westford Bridge, and if he had time, he could join us there.

As I typed the message while watching the time tick by, my hopes faded. I suspected Jason was somewhere with Bella. Heartbreak and anger mixed. But I couldn’t show those emotions in front of Jensen. It was his birthday, and he deserved to be happy.
