Chapter Eighteen

DERRICK*

The crowd went wild as I ran another winning touchdown for the Friendship Tigers. Our team had made it to State for the second year in a row, and it was a tight game. We had gone into triple overtime. My teammates and I ran to the sidelines doing our usual victory roars and chest bumps. I glanced up to the stands to see Emberly jumping and cheering on the front row as always. I waved, then ran off of the field with the other guys. Several scouts were waiting for us as we reached the locker rooms. On Monday, I will be signing on to play football for Texas Tech. It was still nice, however, to know I had several other colleges who wanted me and did their best to change my mind and choose their college instead.

I figured Emberly would be asleep when I walked into the house, but when I walked in, she was lying on the counter wearing sexy black lingerie.

"Come here, lover boy," she said as she jumped down from the counter and crawled to me seductively. "Congratulations on yo
