Evelyn’s POV

I couldn’t believe what he had said. He actually asked me for sex like it was some kind of favor he could just call in whenever he wanted.

What the actual hell is wrong with him?

My mind spiraled with confusion, frustration, and a weird, quiet kind of ache I didn’t want to name. He had barely acknowledged me for months barely noticed if I ate or slept, barely even looked my way. And now this? Suddenly acting like he cared?

I was still trapped in my whirlwind of thoughts when a glass of juice landed in front of me.

I looked up, startled. It was him. Louis.

My husband.

He placed the juice gently on the table, the way someone does when they’re trying not to startle a wild animal. He looked at me for a second like he wanted to say more but didn’t trust the words forming in his throat.

"Here," he muttered. “Sorry for destroying the last one.”

He slid the new iPad across the table.

I blinked. My fingers hovered over it. The same model. Same color. Just like the one he smashed i

  • My Wife, My Blackmailer    The Threat

Evelyn’s POVI walked back into the house with Louis trailing behind me, silent, the air between us thick and heavy like a storm waiting to break. The moment we crossed the threshold, he pulled me into a tight embrace—so tight, it was almost as if he was trying to glue the broken pieces of himself together with my presence.I froze, startled. His arms trembled around me.“I need you right now,” he whispered, the words barely holding together. I pulled back just enough to look at him.Louis.The same Louis who always wore indifference like a second skin. The man who never flinched, never begged, never let anyone see past his armor. But now… now he looked like a man who had finally run out of places to hide. His eyes, usually so cold and unreadable, were bloodshot, glossed with something close to panic. His jaw clenched and unclenched like he was fighting to stay composed.I had never seen him this… human. This raw. This broken. My chest tightened.I gently patted his back, my fingers b

  • My Wife, My Blackmailer    The Confession

Evelyn’s POV"Nothing," he said, voice thin, like he hadn’t just betrayed everything. But I wasn’t going to let it slide.I walked straight toward him, fire burning through my chest, my hands moving in sharp, angry signs. Don’t lie to me, Samuel. I just heard you. I heard every damn word. You were on the phone. You said it was all fake. The convulsions. The fear. The pain. All of it.His eyes darted toward the door. Guilt flickered across his face, but only for a second. Then something shifted. He looked…cold.“I did it,” he said, shrugging like it meant nothing. “Yeah. I did. So what?”I blinked, unable to move. My heart cracked, loud and clean. He looked me in the eye, jaw clenched. “He paid me, alright? He offered money. Real money. More than I’ve ever seen in my life. You think I’m gonna say no to that? Who are you to judge me?”Who am I? The question thundered in my head. Someone who trusted you. Someone who fought for you. Who believed in you.My hands moved, fast and trembling.

  • My Wife, My Blackmailer    The Gift

Evelyn's POVThe phone pressed against my ear grew heavier with every second. His voice came through, thick with rage, vibrating with something deeper, something I couldn’t name. He was ranting, shouting, but then he said it. That last line. It wasn’t loud. It wasn’t even clear. But it hit me like a punch to the chest.A call to make feelings.I froze. My lips parted to respond, but no words came out. The room fell into a strange silence, like the world had stopped moving. My heart thudded against my ribs, confused and loud. What did he mean by that? Was that a confession? A slip of something real? No. No, Evelyn, don’t go there.I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to breathe, trying to shove that stupid hope out of my chest. You’re being ridiculous. He doesn’t care about you. You’re just a pawn. That’s all you’ve ever been.My thoughts spiraled, and just as I tried to calm myself, my phone buzzed again.Incoming call. Unknown number. The kidnapper of course.I didn’t need to guess. My fi

  • My Wife, My Blackmailer    You Have to Step Down

Louis's POVI watched them. Not just glanced, I watched like a man witnessing his world slip through his fingers. Every smile she gave him felt like a punch to my gut, as if each grin carved another hole in my chest. She was laughing. Really laughing. That soft, belly-deep laugh I hadn’t heard in what felt like a lifetime. It danced through the air and stabbed through my ribs. Her eyes sparkled, alive with something I couldn’t name anymore. Not since she stopped looking at me that way. I stood frozen in the hallway, heart thudding so loud I swore they'd hear it from the living room. My skin burned with jealousy, shame, and heartbreak. I wanted to turn away, but I couldn’t. I was tethered to that moment, shackled by regret. They were signing together. He knew sign language. She looked radiant when she used her hands to speak, graceful, expressive, entirely herself. She glowed. And he understood her. Every motion. Every flick of her fingers. He matched her pace like he’d been beside her

  • My Wife, My Blackmailer    The Location

Louis' POVWhat? What the actual hell does she mean by he’s here to stay?I blinked hard, thinking maybe I’d heard wrong. My heartbeat skipped and then doubled, pounding like a hammer against my ribs. She stood there, her calmness a slap to my face, and the man beside her just smiled like he belonged here, in my house. My blood boiled. She was playing games. Dangerous ones.Without thinking, I grabbed her wrist, firm but not painful, and yanked her aside, pulling her into the hallway corner, away from the guests, away from him.“What the hell do you think you’re doing, Evelyn?” I growled under my breath, cornering her against the wall. My breath was heavy, uneven. “What kind of game is this? You bring another man into our home? You tell me he’s here to stay? Are you out of your damn mind?”Her face was unreadable, beautiful and blank, the way she always is when she’s about to ruin me. She raised her iPad, calm fingers typing like she had rehearsed this conversation a hundred times alre

  • My Wife, My Blackmailer    Let the games begin

Evelyn’s POVI couldn’t believe it.I stood there, frozen, heart hammering against my ribs as I tried to process what had just happened. He… saved me. He actually pulled me out of the way before the car could hit me.Why would he do that? He’s the same man who told me I wasn’t his type. Over and over. With such ease. Like it meant nothing. Like I meant nothing. One moment he’s cold, distant, detached, and the next, he’s warm. Almost kind. It’s like he has different versions of himself reserved just for me, and I never know which one I’m going to get.But I was worried about him.My hands instinctively reached toward him as he lay on the pavement, chest rising and falling with shallow breaths. My throat burned with the weight of unspoken words I could never say, not because I didn’t want to, but because I couldn’t. I could only move. Only show. Never speak. He laughed, soft, easy, and that smile that could make a thousand emotions flood my chest all at once spread across his face. “I’m
