Chapter 22

Swansview hotels. I heaved a sigh as I alighted from the Mercedes alongside John. The chill air danced around me gently as I stood before the magnificent hotel welcoming me to its luxury. As I threaded into the building, a man dressed in a perfectly tailored suit approached me with a stern look.

“Miss Autumn,” he called. “I’ll take you to the boss’s room.” He gestured. “Alone.” He added, glaring at John.

“Mr. Leon specifically asked me to keep watch on her at all times.” John remarked.

“And who does your boss answer to?” The man replied and John cleared his throat before taking a step backwards.

“Please,” he gestured again and led me to the elevator. His room door was guarded by two men poised at opposite sides of the door.

“You may enter.” He said and I inhaled deeply before opening the cream colored door. If I was expecting the normal small room then I was proven wrong. It was delightfully large and luxurious. Ranging from the bed, to the small couches surrounding the small table
